  1. I don't know why yours has stated to hit the A pillar but when I bought my latest Yeti the wiper was hitting the A pillar. The salesman took the car around to the workshop where they adjusted something on the wiper linkage or so the salesman said, I didn't see what they did. It might be worth looking under the bonnet in case part of the linkage has worked loose.
  2. Thanks for that info guys. I don't like the idea of it, a bit like the 'stop start' function! There seems to be too many of these 'things' that are supposed to make driving easier/safer (?) on modern cars but to mind it's the opposite. Russ
  3. I'm afraid I'm from the old school of drivers who want to be in charge of their car and for it to do what the driver wants when they want not for the car to be in charge!
  4. I've just been looking at the options and found this option which was ticked on. What's that all about? Is it a head light flash or indicator flash? How does the car know when you are changing lane? I can't see anything in the handbook about it. Russ
  5. I've had a similar thing with my new Yeti where the rear wiper has turned itself onto intermittent wipe when the front wipers are turned on, not auto setting. I've just looked this morning and found the "auto rear wiper" ticked on in the options. I've unticked them but will have to wait until it rains next, wont be long!
  6. Pumping the seat up and down gives you a bit more exercise !! We had to do the same with our last Yeti, not unsurprising, but what was strange that with our previous vehicle to our first Yeti , a Honda CRV, we didn't have to change the seat between drivers at all!
  7. It's a pity we don't have the electric seats because the seat adjustment ( and interior mirror ) is the first thing we have to do after a change of driver!
  8. Sorted! Unlocked car this morning with the spare key, changed the settings to as we want, job done! I didn't realise before that I had to unlock the car with the same key before putting it in the ignition. Obvious when you know which order to do things! Thanks for everyones help. Russ
  9. I hadn't thought of it that way! I'll give it a go in the morning.
  10. I have put the "spare" key in the ignition and started the engine and then gone into the settings. The settings were the same as the main key ie set to unlock "all doors" but when I then switched off the engine, locked the car, the spare key still would only unlock the drivers door! I then retried the main key again which worked as it should. Could it be the battery in the "spare" key though the little red light seams to flash OK?
  11. One of the first things I changed with the new Yeti was to disable the automatic lock/unlock function ( hate being locked in a vehicle ) and change the locking/unlocking setting to operate on 'all doors'. I used my key which my wife and I both use as the main key. My wife always carries the 'spare' key in her handbag. We haven't used the 'spare' key until this morning when she tried to unlock the car and found that only the drivers door would unlock. It would fully unlock with my key. First thought was that the spare key was not synchronised to the car, if that's the correct term. So I switched the car on with the spare key and checked the computer settings on the MAXI DOT display which were still the same as before but the spare key still wouldn't unlock all the doors. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but surely both keys should be able to do the same functions as shown on the MAXI DOT display?
  12. Thanks for your replies. My first worry was that there might be a fault with the new (to me) 150 Yeti but it sounds as though it could be just down to different errors in the Maxidot reading. I shall keep a eye on it.
  13. Does anyone know how accurate the "average fuel consumption" reading on the MAXI DOT display is in real life? The reason for the question is that I've just upgraded my Yeti from a 140hp 2013 manual diesel to a 150hp 2017 manual diesel. The old Yeti always indicated an average fuel consumption of 52 mpg. The new Yeti which I collected yesterday is indicating 43 mpg and hardly changed on a 50 mile drive home. A difference of 9 mpg is quite a lot between the two vehicles which are fairly similar.
  14. Thanks guys. I've never heard of Micro Mesh before. I assume you can get it from Halfords or similar. Russ
  15. The wife had an argument with a hedge this morning and ended up scratching the passenger side front and rear doors, rear quarter panel, rear light, tailgate and both black plastic panels between the windows (don't know the proper names)! The scratches to the painted panels might polish out with luck but these black plastic panels seem to have come off worst. I'm assuming that they will have to be replaced unless they can be repaired. Has anyone any ideas? Russ
