Hi all. I’ve yet to see it mentioned but my 2016 Octavia VRS estate had a leak from the connector port on top of the coolant reservoir. If I moved the connector plug back and forward you could hear the high pressure leak. this was getting the plug wet and I am sure would have led to electrical issues longer term. hope this might help someone else. pretty simple job to do with some hose clamps.

Hi all. thought I’d add that I’ve done Mine and tapped into the power to wiper motor. black and purple, earthed to nut for lock mechanism. all working. Blue sea sky b1w

There’s another post on here about this - lower left engine mount if you search. Known mqb fault when turning left only. Hope that helps. Let us us all know if it is that.

Thanks for the reply. Some tyre website bring up the 235 as default which is odd. Seems to be little gains from changing size except cost unless anyone can advise? Thanks.

I need to change two front tyres so want to wear out the mid range 225 on the rear by moving them to the front. My question is could I run with 235 on the rear until the fronts wear out and would there be any handling issues?? Secondly would the ride improve moving to 235?? thanks ryan.

Thanks both. Well ive given up. Screws turning on one fixing points but not coming out. One screw the head had already gone so makes me think the previous owner tried and failed to spruce them up. One other fixing point the plastic came away -hoping three fixing points will be sufficient to hold it on. ive admitted defeat. Sad face. Contemplated bumper off but not enough time to do it. Even if I do get the bumper off two screws are stuck. Thanks again ryan

I started trying to remove exhaust tips on my vRs so could respray but screws on both sides rusted / crusted up. If if I remove the bumper are the tips attached to the bumper or the car? thanks in advance Ryan
