Would assume new software is on the way as SEAT have had it for a few months:

I got a text from the DVLA about it.

Auto wiping in the rain is activated in the vehicle settings via the infotainment unit.

Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, and Americans call it high beam. Probably many others.
-
Auto lights on (dipped beam) remains on once activated. Auto main beam doesn’t.

No symbol - dipped beam only. Dipped beam will activate as required if this setting is chosen (on the main switch) - that is, when it gets dark.
Depress the stalk once for auto-main beam and again for main beam on - you would need to deactivate manually if you have turned it on manually.

White means auto main beam. Can annoy others from time to time. There is a lights on symbol that illuminates on the switch itself when the headlights activate.

I had this - faulty switch that was swapped out under warranty.

I've also joined the 1941 club. Definitely faster and the re-boots have been given the boot.

Yes, it affects mine with CarPlay, seems totally random as to whether I get no reboot, just one or multiple!
And me...using Apple CP. Yet to try to suggested turning off BT and Wi-Fi.

Hi Pete,
Does your car OTA update without notifying you? Not sure my car OTA updates in Australia. But had a wierd gremlin yesterday where I got all the same faults as above and the car wouldn't start. Does your car start when it does this?
Car starts fine. Yes, you do get notifications for the OTA updates.

Thought to just add…I’m another one with the restarting infotainment on 1896, but not the VW stream.
Been like it for many weeks, with occasional weeks with no restarts. However, lately it has been doing it multiple times per day and multiple times per journey. Off to the dealer next week. I do not expect a resolution.
Two days ago, I started getting a warning, Fault: vehicle lighting, and Warning: Check Adaptive Frontlight system. My lights are now on all the time and cannot be turned off. My switches for the lights are no longer illuminated. I also get the occasional error for this and that including parking sensors, manoeuvring braking, front assist etc. While I cannot say for certain, other than the infotainment restarting, the car had settled down for a spell…and then there was a couple of OTA updates and my error hit rate went up!

Perhaps unrelated, but my car prompted me to become the primary user (even though I was already the primary user). I selected crack on, and when I later checked the app, all functions were back to normal.

I had the same problem and all functions back today.

Guys, how do you convince dealers to change steering wheels? Mine still claims that it was an old solution which Skoda stopped doing. Of course referring to online conversations does not help to convince them there should be such option.
My understanding is that this is the fix. This is an updated steering wheel, according to the dealer, rather than a like for like swap. -
Just to update, this has been fixed. Hooray!
Had a new steering wheel.

I also put them on mine without drilling coming up to 2 years ago and they are still there and fine.

Just to add, I have the same problem for some time, but yet to mention to the dealer.

Perhaps just to add, on my 2021 Octavia vRS with this problem, the dealer replaced them free of charge.
