  1. I have just repaired the wires in my door, you will find it easier to completely remove the rubber boot. To remove the rubber from the door I found it much easier to push the rubber into the door. The boot is held in place with electrical insulation tape, and a Tyrap. To refit manoeuvre the rubber through the rectangle in the door, then just push it into place, you will need to remove the speaker to do this.
  2. Check your wiring loom, the rubber boot from the chassis to the door, I found broken wires here after stripping down the door!
  3. There is a micro switch buried inside the lock, you will need to take the lock out, I am trying to do the same thing.
  4. Check the spare wheel well it may be full of water! There are guides how to fix this, usually rubbers under rear light clusters. This post is in the wrong section you need to move it into a discussion forum
  5. I bought my superb from new it is a 61 plate and I have only had it serviced at The dealership I bought it from but they have not told me to change the belt I decided at 6 1/2 years I did not want to risk it anymore, I doubt they would want to repair my car if it had snapped.
  6. I believe the service interval is 140k or 5 years which ever comes first.
  7. Thanks for the useful info Favdavrav, I am sure i will have to change my battery at some point, the Delco Remy batteries were very good, I believe Vauxhall used them, they had a green, yellow or black condition indicator
  8. Thats progress, you can't just change a battery... You used to be able to change headlight bulbs in 2 minutes flat, now you need a box of tools and about 2 hours how long before they are coded
  9. Hey Wmc, did you get sorted, As your alternator is 15 years old I would have recommend you get it refurbed or get an exchange one, the bearings and brushes will all be tired now.
  10. I cant remember if the steering warning light came on as well, remember the magnet or ring on the wheel bearing, the ABS sensor wont work without it. I would imagine the start stop system gives the battery a hard time, cold weather will affect the battery, Other Greenline owners should be able to give you a better idea of expected battery life.
  11. Sounds like a good result for you, let us know the outcome
  12. Did you get anywhere with you problems? the ABS, ESC, tyre pressure fault could be an abs sensor, but be careful I found this code in the fault log, so bought a sensor, turned out that the magnet in the wheel bearing assembly had fallen out, so had to replace all that !
  13. Regarding code readers, I only have an old V-gate scanner that cost about £45 at the time, most people have moved to the Bluetooth unit that use you phone or laptop to display the codes etc... there is a diagnostic section that will give you some pointers.
  14. Don’t you just love that Trust building Measure! Has the dealer offered to fit a new EGR free of Charge? thanks for the link chimaera.
  15. Thanks Tim, I am only looking for a standard grille, this is the second bird strike I have suffered, I need the upper chrome and black grille and I was going to replace the badge as it is tired, but I think £130 is a bit expensive for these items. superskoda do sell the top chrome and badge for 54 euros which is £30 less than SUK.
