  1. I will check above on proper viewing. Thanks for reply. Really don’t want to walk away from this but if it is inevitably going to cause me issues at a later date I’d rather not go ahead with it. (I get all cars have issues, I’m not naive to that! Haha) but a engine isn’t something I’d want to replace at a later date!
  2. Hi, I’m soon about to purchase a 2014 (64 reg) vRS Fabia, which has done 55k, one lady owner and full service history with Skoda. Sounds like a dream.. the story starts with me approaching her to see if she wanted to sell and she hadn’t actually thought about it as she used the car daily and it worked so no need to change. But since going around there she decided she would sell for the right price as she is due a newer car anyway. I did ask her about any issues with the car, especially the oil consumption etc, but being a elder lady she didn’t seem to have noticed anything and it always worked when she wanted it too. So as far as I’m aware it’s good as gold. Anyway the Skoda has just had a full service and MOT and had a few advisories. One of which was “oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (I))”. The other advisories was tyres and brake pad. This hasn’t shown up on any other MOT the cars had as far as I can see anyway. The car itself looks immaculate and has always been well looked after. Can tell by the exterior of the car and the size of the house!! Haha anyway, would that advisory be the start of the dreaded oil issues with the vRS or is it a case of the MoT inspector being abit hot on the day? I Havnt confronted her about this issue yet and Havnt had a look at the engine bay myself yet. I’ve blind offered her £6k for the car as is, but I will be test driving and having a proper look at the car myself before handing over any money. any advice welcome, and would appreciate honest opinions, as I would rather walk away than risk it.
  3. Hi, let me start off by saying I love my Skoda and always been a bit of a Skoda fan which is why I’m gonna live to regret doing this. i have a 2013 (August 2013) Skoda Monte Carlo triple black 1.2 tsi (105ps) version. It is up for renewal next year (March/April) and Skoda want £3,300 balloon payment and the car is meant to have 50k on the clock but due to my job and where I drive I’ve only got 24k on the clock at the mo and will only have probably 28k when I come to buy it off Skoda. The extras the car has is:- OEM sat nav OEM heated seats parking sensors ”kill all wipers” wiper delete A/C spare wheel with the OEM kit and all of the other standard stuff that come with the car I just have no idea how to sell a car cause I’ve never done it? I’m after roughly 4k it comes with all the paperwork and full Skoda service history and will have roughly 6 months MOT. do I sell locally to a garage or post on Facebook sites or do I try the eBay route? Any advice is welcome
  4. So judging by the oem parts I’m looking at these discs:- https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.2_2013/p/car-parts/regular-service/car-service-parts/brake-discs/?10444079A&1&6190048b1c75ce83104b4778fb7963e9d54f068f&000027 And for pads these :- https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.2_2013/p/car-parts/regular-service/car-service-parts/brake-pads/?10144113A&1&05b1068abdd3cc8c933e09686927a4a4fa7ed5f2&000036 Can anyone confirm for me please, I’m a novice when it comes to parts, but the discs are 288x25 and the pads are same fitment detail as the oem and they fit discs with 288 width so should work but just need a double check
  5. Just phones TPS in Crawley and he wasn’t really sure what I was on about but he did give me the official part number of the pads and discs that are fitted to my car already they are as follows:- 5k0698151 - pads 6r0615301d - discs does this help? Thanks
  6. Hi guys, haven’t posted in a while, but I’m due new pads on the front brakes so gonna change discs aswell whilst I’m there. Just a question about which? And the fitment? I’ve been on euro car parts and found some pads and discs both brembo but it says I need to make sure I have the right fitment as there is two types? Any idea which fitment is for mine? Thanks 2013 skoda fabia Monte Carlo 1.2tsi - hatchback reg - GV13 SUH
  7. Would the 19in xtreme (Octavia vrs 230) alloys fit my 2013 monte fabia? Also so would the flat bottom steering wheel from a Octavia vrs 2015+ fit my 2013 monte?
  8. Does anyone know if a skoda suberb flat bottom steering wheel from 2015 this (http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-II/Superb-II-FL-original-Skoda-MF-perforated-leather-RS-steering-wheel-2015-flat-bottom-version-RED) would fit in my 2013 5j monte carlo? i have a non multi functional wheel in use at the mo, really like the flat bottom look and the RS badge. if its a straight swap or would i need to get the MF bits coded or whatever thanks in advance
  9. Hey, been looking into getting a revo stage 1 done on my monte it's a 13 plate and done 18k miles so only a baby still, I want your opinions really... Go for a remap and get full use out of the car they quoted me the bhp to rise to 144 max with v nitro plus being used (£480 Inc vat) Or go with a cheaper tuner qouting me £220 but only a slight bhp improvement of 135? Has anyone had a remap done on this engine? Also is there any pros or cons to consider? Thanks
  10. Hi, yeah I think there is 2 types of Fabia 2 grills, cause I wanted the Fabia honeycomb grill really but that's for the pre facelift version, if the grills you got will fit a 2013 Monte Carlo then yeah I'd be interested, what ones you got? Thanks
  11. Right don't use glue! Fml like you said, there isn't enough space to glue on too, I just tried it and ****ed my whole grill and the bottom trim had to use acetone and the Mrs had to help remove it! Now got to wash and polish the whole car to make it not noticeable and I snapped the tsi thing as was ****.
  12. What glue would be best to hold it on there, the tsi badge is metal and the grill is plastic so is there a strong weather proof glue?
  13. How do I, if I can, remove the front grill? I want to add a tsi badge to it but can't reach to screw it on without removing the grill, I have the Torx t30 Allen key, just can't see where or how to remove without removing the whole bumper, thanks
