New Owner
Hi all - just swapped my Octavia vRS TDI for a 2025 85x Sportline and I just thought I'd share a few thoughts after a couple of weeks as a new owner… Suspension - I thought the Octavia was a hard ride but I'm surprised how hard the Enyaq is, especially from the rear when travelling over poor road surfaces. I guess this is because of the weight of the battery running down the length of the car? Lane assist button on RHS of steering wheel - does this actually do anything as every time I press it I get the message 'Please use main switch' - I am aware it can be turned off via the infotainment screen but is there something I need to do in order to make this switch work? Horn - Sounds extremely petty but today I used the horn for the first time and despite this car being the most technologically advanced vehicle I have ever driven, the horn has been downgraded to a single tone so it sounds like my first ever car which was a 1983 Golf Mk I - Is this standard now across all Enyaqs? Every car I have owned since 1993 has been dual tone so why would Skoda change this on their flagship model? Infotainment Screen - Last week I got the dreaded scrolling screen of death which after speaking with my dealer, appears to be a common issue but also an issue that currently cannot be fixed, or that what I have read on other forums. Thankfully it cleared after the car had sat idle for an hour or so but its booked in at my local dealer for a check up in a couple weeks time. Despite these niggles, so far I'm pretty impressed, range is between 3.5 - 4 miles per kWh and my fuel bill is roughly £5 per week as opposed to £30 per week in the vRS. Any feedback regarding my points above would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance

Emission control system faulty warning light ON
Hi. This happened to me recently. The light came on upon starting the engine and stayed on throughout the journey but with no loss of engine power. The following morning when I got back in the car, the light didn't come back on and has remained off since. I've also had a major problems with the infotainment system randomly restarting, along with another message that the car couldn't find the key therefore refusing to start, despite the key being in the centre console! Anyway, after a call to the local dealer, its booked in next week for a software update (sounds like v1941 solves a lot of these problems with other owners cars) so fingers crossed all these bugs will be squashed. Really love the car (vRS) but I have never had a car with so many niggles as this one 😠

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
Car is booked in at the dealers next week in an attempt to solve the endless reboots. If I ask (demand) for software version 1941 to be installed, are we all pretty confident that this is a fix and my car will behave itself for the first time since I recieved it back in November 22?

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
Had my vRS now for a month and on the whole I'm very satisfied with the car. If I'm going to be hyper critical then these are couple of niggles I have experienced since downsizing from my previous car which was a superb. • Standard speakers are truly shocking - the superb speakers were standard too but the sound was excellent, the octavia is so tinny • Most days I get a 'Front assist is temporarily unavailable' message appear on the display but after 5 minutes it disappears (may need a dealer phone call) • Unless I'm missing something, there is no trip mileage reset button and also you can't change the brightness of the virtual cockpit driver display I have the Diesel variant so car is relatively quick and I'm also averaging around 50mpg over 20 miles of A road driving. Early days so still adjusting to the size in comparison to the superb but overall it's a pretty good drive.

Delivery times?
This is the latest information he is getting from the factory so I'm told? I'm resigned to the fact that delivery within 12 months (so before July 22) will be a bonus!

Delivery times?
Build dates mean nothing - I've had 6 now - I was also told once the car goes into production then its most likely that it will be 4 weeks before you get the car but looks like info is extremely inconsistent

Delivery times?
Why are build times sooooooooooo inconsistent for the same vehicle? 🤷♂️

Delivery times?
2.0TDI vRS Estate in Silver ordered June 21. Build date given of November 21. Build date delayed but given a status 10 allocation (which apparently is good news). Build date given of December 21. Build date delayed. Build date given of January 22. Build date delayed. Build date given of Feb 22. Build date delayed. Build date given of March 22 (this week). Build date delayed. Now told build date is April… Not once has the dealer contacted me with an update, I have chased on every occasion. so that's 9 months and still counting since the car was ordered. 🤬
