My car is now getting ready for some new rear tyres, but since my front ones offer such pathetic grip (dry and wet) I've decide to change all 4 courners in one go. What are the best tyres to get? Toyo Proxy's seem to be a popular mention so was wondering what people thought about the choice of tyre to make, and what are the costs likely to be for wopping on some grippy rubber.

It's time to upgrade my rear speakers in my Octy vRS me thinks. I'm looking at getting some 6x9's stuffed on the rear parcel shelf so I was wondering if there is any advice you guys have. The speakers will be driven by a Sony CDX-F7500 and I really only have a few questions. What 6x9's should I be looking for? (Price is not too much of an object) Will the parcel shelf rattle like mad if the volume is cranked too much? (This would drive me insane) Should the rear passenger door tweeters be disconnected? I am taking this job myself and have not done any of the wiring with the speakers before so any advice for the above, or general pointers would be much appreciated. Cheers Guys......

Does anyone have any good drive of HD recovery software? I need something that can get really low level as my IBM drive has suffered a major head crash. The drive was in 2 partitions NTFS for the main data, and FAT32 for backup files of the NTFS partition. I've been able to get files from the FAT32 with CHKDSK and a bit of luck, but the problem is the NTFS partition. Windows XP wont CHKDSK it, just bombs out with an "Unrecognized Error" on pass 2, and just trying to get properties of the drive brings XP saying it's not formatted. I've borrowed Norton Systemworks 2005 for Norton Disk Doctor, and this pile of crap just says, unknown file system, cant check it! Anyone know any good software? I've work with PC's and servers for over 15 years so I guess I should have really known better for backing up my own data.

I've got my eye on a Kenwood KDC-W6527 MP3/WMA or a Sony CDX-5700 player to go into my Octy VRS. Just wondered if anyone had come across these units before and what they thought of them......

CW Shredder is great for ripping out POPUPs. If you;ve not done done so already, upgrade to SP2 for XP, run CW Shredder and then use Ad-aware. If you want to stop nasty little Trojans, or popup infections, I would recommend using the Firefox web browser. I swear by this!

Judging by the front web page, they'll even attach a BBQ to the side of your car!

Getting the car chipped is a must. A few days ago, I had the timed Revo demo (which is restricted to about 200 bhp) applied to my car by JBS Auto Designs, and certainly noticed the difference. Now the demo has expired and the car is back to normal, it feels like it is now lacking. :thumbdwn: So I''m off back to JBS next weekend to have the full program applied, as well as the DV and TIP changed. Looking forward to about 220bhp.
