  1. I have really enjoyed my Series 3 Superb since August 2016, and thank you for all the advice and suggestions held within this wonderful portal. I have been waiting patiently for the Hybrid Superb to actually materialise, but my dealer has no sight of when they will get a demo vehicle and are limited to placing ONE order before June, so I have bitten the bullet and purchased an E Golf instead. I may be back at some point, but for now, Adios.
  2. Well, took a few days to order in the chrome trim and rubber channel, but all fixed, free of charge. Actually really well handled by Marshall’s in Reading, great service, kept well informed and enjoyed buzzing around in the Citigo courtesy car. Happy punter.
  3. Just started to suffer from this problem, obviously the hot weather isn't helping. Called up my local Skoda Service centre this morning (3rd July) and been given a slot on 20th August ! No recognition of the 64E3 recall code and was told it would be the std £128 inspection fee unless they deemed it was a warranty issue. Not the best customer experience, but we will see what transpires.
  4. Another thumbs up for the Uniroyal Rainsport 3’s here. Quiet, comfortable ride and plenty of grip too.
  5. I really like the latest version of the One App. I now have four pages of self selected widgets that tell me all sorts of things. Passengers seem to enjoy the live visualisation of torque and power, and the g meter is mesmerising. yesterday I set a 8.5 sec 0-62kmh time with only a little wheel spin, which is pretty decent for a 150DSG petrol.
  6. Thanks, I tried a different 32gb USB stick and the terminal process seemed to have it cleaned up enough as the Maps then updated in the car. SD Card is in the bin ! I appreciate the valuable support provided by this forum’s members.
  7. By any chance it is indeed 64Gb. Is that the issue.?
  8. Thanks guys, tried and failed with both those methods. Beginning to suspect a flaky SD card now, will try again with alternate media.
  9. Hmmm, struggling with this, also a Mac user and have cleaned the sd card of invisible files with an app. But, the Columbus can not find the update, here is the sequence I see. https://ibb.co/cvDFD6 https://ibb.co/cykZ6R https://ibb.co/f1P5D6 https://ibb.co/hFtMmR
  10. Hi David, when you say “works perfectly” does that include the voice button on the steering wheel waking up Siri? That used to work, but has stopped since updating to ios11.
  11. Hi you probably want to read this thread, I had the same question I also discovered that the steering input following is dependent on the drive mode (most effective in Sport, less dramatic in Normal and fixed in Eco)
  12. Well, well, well ! Thanks for this post. I tried it over the past couple of days and yes, in Sport mode, the car stays in a lower gear but is much more often in "2 Cylinder mode" when just cruising about at less than 50 mph. Marginally more efficient, with the benefit of a more lively pull away from rest. I'll be sticking with this in future now. Top tip !
  13. If you had that list of niggles and complaints with a Jaguar, the dealer would be congratulating you on having a "good one". I was SO happy to turn my back on a 10 month old XE and pick up a Superb. Fair enough if you want to change, but avoid anything from LandRover Jaguar, their software engineers must all be nine years old i reckon!
  14. Thanks, that all makes sense. I have now changed to the "late" setting, which has helped a bit, still seems over sensitive to light and shade on bright days though. I'll learn to live with this.
  15. The Columbus display in my SE L seems to swap to night mode very readily. On a bright day, even the shade from an overhanging tree can change the map display to white on black. Anyone else notice this? Is the sensitivity adjustable? If so, how? This is my only, over pedantic, niggle with the car after 2 months of ownership. At this stage with my previous Jaguar XE, I had a two page list of faults and snags with that car.
