Mucho gracias everyone, as I thought really he was just being a dealer.
Thanks for the tip on ATE, when it comes to the time I will seek these out!
Thanks all.

Afternoon all,
So I went for a service last month at the dealers and they informed me that my discs and pads need changing as they are corroded around the rim. They pointed this out and yeah they do look a bit corroded but there is zero reduction in the effectiveness of the brakes.
Anyway, they produced a list for the discs and pads front and rear. £900+
So onto trusty old BRISKODA to ask the knowledgeable Gentlemen (and Ladies) how I can do this for a more reasonable cost, I've had a look for discs and pads and was instantly confused as to what is what.
Octavia vRS 230, any advice much appreciated!

Mine is my wifes initials followed by the year we met and then my 3 initials standard font on pressed metal plates.
I had some monkey from Kwik Fit try and tell me they were illegal as they "looked German" (I've got the Skoda Motorsport number plate surround) and the W doesn't look like a W.
He got told to FO.

Yep GY AS3's on mine, the Pirelli's were awful.
The Hankooks mentioned above are good but I've not had them on the Skoda, the missus has them on her Leon.

What an awesome thing to happen!
Enjoy!

Nice one!
So do the above come in the pack then or do I need to buy them beforehand? Or have I read that wrong

@BATVANVRS Have you got some pics from underneath regarding these clips?
I'm dropping mine into the garage to do and any guidance I can give them will be appreciated

I'm tempted by the Revo and as I've had it on previous cars but £600 is too much so I'll wait for it to drop.

Mmmm looking into it they have changed the link I posted. I've just checked my box the wheel was in and it is definitely glossy black.
The glossy black wheel sticker was over an anthracite one on the box, so it looks like they messed up.
I'm thinking they added the wrong wheel on the site and have only just noticed!

Sadly yes the ones in the link are anthracite, confirmed this with Skodaparts, the 230 version of these wheels are black, but that price would be a lot better! I'm currently talking to skodaparts to see if the can source the black version, hopefully for a similar price!
I gave that link to my dealer and bought a new black 230 wheel a couple of months back

The 230 19" Extremes are Black , other Vrs 19" Extremes are anthracite.
* other wheel makes, colour and size are available *
He was talking about the 230 ones and those are the ones I linked to!

I friend of mine had them on an A5 with black wheels, I wasn't overly keen but when the dealer brought her car back from a service and got warm and cosy with the curb, protector looked awful but not a mark on the wheel! These look to have a lower profile, due to the rims on the 230 being black with the black gators it could look ok, checked with a dealer and roughly £400 for a new wheel (the 230 black version), these will be a very serious consideration, £400 vs £90... any one else out there had any experience of alloy protectors?
Your dealer is pulling your leg.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, I reckon the Octavia is an excellent choice for a taxi.
