  1. adamdun, Have a read of these Ateca forum threads by Mr David Gatenby, Not sure of your engine size but this may prove very useful. Good luck in resolving your issue, keep everyone informed. https://www.atecaforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1975&p=31103&hilit=clutch#p31103 https://www.atecaforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1916 Stu
  2. Try these. https://leasing.com/car-leasing/skoda/karoq/ Bear in mind its the total cost of the lease, not how low the monthly figure is. This site is good at doing cost comparisons. £5k for 2 years of new car motoring isn't to be sniffed at.. Stu
  3. Hello, No, Ateca's with LED headlamps have LED rear side lamps. As I say, during the day, front and rear DRL are alight.
  4. Just wondering.. Do Karoqs with LED headlights have LED DRL front AND rear? My Ateca SE Technology in Rodium Grey has nice bright rear DRL because it has LED headlamps.

    Engine Choice

I have a 1.0 tsi Ateca on a 36 month lease, 8k per year. I was concerned it may be underpowered but thoughts of this have disappeared over 1500 mile as it's loosened up nicely and returns high 40s to the gallon. It's refined at speed and it's surprising able on the motorway too. I should expect a 1.0 Karoq to be very similar.

    SUSPENSION

Hello guys, It seems suspension and ride quality is a hot topic. I'm an Ateca driver and a member of both forums. Look at what our lot are saying, interesting to note, they're comparing Karoq to Ateca. https://www.atecaforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2436
  7. Have a look at the official VW site, link attached. If you download the station logos onto an SD card, you can then put the SD card back in the car and add the logos off the SD card onto the preset. It's pretty self explanatory Alternatively, Google your missing radio channel and download it onto the SD card, saves trawling through the vw site. I believe files should be PNG format. http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/how-to-guides/sat-nav Stu

    German Karoq

I respect that this has been "reported" before. Your report states that the Karoq is to be painted in Germany, Autocars report, albeit almost 4 weeks later, states additional production is commencing in Germany to satisfy demand Maybe the time differene has clarified the exact details of the earlier, albeit foreign story? A link in the Autocar report from another website; http://europe.autonews.com/article/20180430/ANE/180439969?template=mobile02&X-IgnoreUserAgent=1
  9. Interesting reading on Autocar website today https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/german-built-skoda-karoq-hit-market-while-brand-upgrades-czech-plant
  10. Guys. Im an Altea driver and a memer of their forum and a "sleeping" member of the Karoq site too, to glean and share info. One of our guys has been told this. Early days yet but just for your info. See below, Regards Stu Recall... Report this post Quote Unread post by Rinse » Fri Apr 20, 2018 11:48 pm Hi All, Due to pick up my shiney new Ateca next Tuesday. I had a call today from my dealer today to day that he is unable to release the vehicle due to a recall on a fitted part that has been announced today across the whole VW group. Apparantly the issue is with the Signal Booster that comes as part and parcel with the connectivity hub and wireless charger. I have just been told that the fix is to remove the part from all cars in the VW group throughout the UK. I have since noticed that they have removed the wording from all the brochures - now they just identify the wireless charger (same price) but do not mention the signal booster or connectivity hub. I called SEAT customer services and they told me "we have been advised not to discuss this until a formal announcement has been made". Just a heads up to anyone waiting - there may be a delay and anyone who has recently taken delivery may get the recall request to have it removed. Will keep you posted if i hear anything further. 11. Google the radio station you need the logo for. For example, Classic FM has many different logos on Google. Download a few onto the SD card. Check the size of the pic is "reasonable " then store it on the SD card. I think the pics are PNG files. Assume Karoq has 2 SD card slots, like the Ateca? Put the SD card back into the car then in the radio settings section, you can download the station logo you want onto the relevant preset. Basically, you can store any picture you like for any radio preset, even AM. I had a few preset logos missing on my Ateca but managed to sort them out using the above.
  12. We're just having a mini break, it's busy with golfers this morning! I've had 3 Alteas, an Exeo estate plus a tuned Leon K1 Cupra so, like you, a bit of brand loyalty but, when my lease is finished in 30 months, I'm seriously going to look at skoda, especially the Karoq. A few Ateca guys got very cheesed off at the delivery times. Mine took almost 5 months, 1.4 engine cars much longer. SEAT don't supply Atecas in 1.4 litres any more and the 1.5 isn't available yet, hence why Ateca purchasers are looking at Skoda Stu
  13. Hello Mike, Liking your Karoq. Just saying "hello" as we're staying at Hollins Hall! I've a 1.0 TSI Ateca SE Technology. It' amazing how similar these 2 models are. The under bonnet pic you posted is exactly the same! Stu.
  14. Hello guys, I had exactly the same issue with my Ateca. Heres a link to the VW main site, have a look at this. Download all the logos onto an SD card / storage device, then take it to your car and look for the logos you want. Hope this helps! Stu http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/how-to-guides/sat-nav
