  1. Thanks for the information, don't have the roller adjustment on the dash so guessing should have had xenon's. Also talking about the fluid level sensor anyone heard of them playing up my one intermittently says fluid low but topped up day before. Seems to be better I've changed from the cheap halfords stuff. Can't see why what fluid in it would make a difference.

  2. Sorry if this has been discussed before just can't find it.

Having an issue with my screen wash level warning light it's been coming on as if levels are low but topped it up the day before. Sometimes it doesn't come on and next time I start the car comes on? Is it just a dodgy sensor or is there anything more sinister?

    Thanks for any info

  3. Hi y22Oda, is your a dsg? The clutches have a common problem of juddering on take off lasts a few seconds and then you won't feel it again. This sounds like what you are feeling. I recommend taking it back to the dealership.

As what you said about the dpf being clogged this does not cause any judder type feeling.

    It's a 6 speed manual.

My description probably wasn't the greatest, it's more hesitation on the throttle at say around 2krpm at low speed around 30mph just for a split second or so then becomes ok once turbo spools up.

  4. If you have an older pd170 like me the egr is at the front of the engine its very easy to remove and clean i have fitted the reducer metal gasget which has a smaller hole and is a vag brand fix for a hesitation problem they are on ebay genuine and non genuine, If you have a cr170 i dont know how easy it is to get at the egr i think its at the rear of the engine

    Thanks for the info

  5. I had a PD170 that done that and was hesitant when trying to take off and got in a few hairy moments when trying to pull out in front of traffic! Was fine when the turbo kicked in at 2/2.5K RPM. For me, it was the DPF starting to clog up and was usually confirmed with a lumpy idle and idled at 1,000 rpm, instead of the 750 rpm. DPF light wasn't on, but had to do an early DPF regeneration, by driving in 3rd gear for while (didn't do much motorway driving), plug remapped accelerated the DPF clogging issue.

As the others say, it could also be the EGR.

I've changed my car to a CR170 and had the DPF gutted and EGR deleted, so don't have that issue now.

Thanks pretty much exactly what is happening with me! No motorways near me at all!! Will take the car a good run this evening to do a DPF regeneration. Will also have a look EGR also don't look to difficult job to do and clean.

  7. Sorry in advance if this has already been mentioned.

Have a Octavia vRS estate and occasionally feel a slight judder/ hesitant on the throttle only for a split second then fine. Run the car between 2/2.5krpm for a while and returns to normal.

Am I right in thinking this could be the DPF starting to clog up? No light on dash just a bit unsure as first car with a DPF.

    Thanks in advance
