  1. Right, thanks all for your comments and pointers to previous threads, have learnt a lot!,did have 18 plate kodiaq from new and 16 plate superb, nearly new, all same engine, and had nothing like this, which is what rang my alarm bell. Think I will give it a couple of good runs and see if it settles over the next few weeks. SAGALOUT thanks for explanation in plain English, will contact you if problem persists.
  2. Actually only had air con on once since new(just for the missus), prefer a window when the weather is like it has been.
  3. So for a non technical person, DPF regen is OK?
  4. Only half my mileage is short runs, rest are 50 miles plus, about once a week.
  5. Before I go to the dealers, just thought someone might know something about this. The car has only done1,200 miles and is 7 weeks old but the engine fan comes on perhaps 3 to 4 times a week, I only do about 18 journeys a week mostly to work( 7 miles) on normal roads with very little hold ups. It has happened on longer journeys. This morning I drove from home to a shop on the way to work for about 2 miles mostly in a 30 limit, and it was going when I stopped. All gauges etc. showing normal, and turns off when stopped when expected. Have been gentle with it so far as despite people saying you do not need to run a new engine in these days, so not really sure what this could be, any ideas?.
  6. I had mine especially specced, I think the salesman name was Noddy, he mentioned something about a special back to the future menu, sorry folks, must be the beer.
  7. This option on my facelift L&K, but not done enough yet to test everything out
  8. Just had a race track day and drove a Skyline, Aston Martin, and a Rouse mustang 500 bhp), but was quite happy to get back Into my comfortable L&k and poodle home.
  9. Yeah well, the Mrs has a Dacia Stepway, which I have to admit does go well and drives nicely, but give me a Skoda any day. Would really like 2, a good fast TSI to co mpare to my more sedate diesel.
  10. Had a 2016 superb and now a 2019 superb and on both the virtual pedal has never worked. Just gave up and put it down to a gimmick to sell cars. Always made sure I have the keys in my hand to open it , even if both hands are full off shopping bags, so no problem.
  11. OK, I really like it, funny badges, chrome strips an' all. It is still a Skoda Superb and I am enjoying it. This is my 3rd superb ( mk2, mk3 and mk3.5 with a Kodiaq inbetween).
  12. No, just 19".don't want to inflate the truth, or tread on people's ego, just spoke the truth!
  13. Come on lads, it was a fair question, if we are going down this road, I think I will start asking about tyre size......see if you can beat that.
  14. Might have missed some posts, so if the question has been already asked, forgive me. Does anyone know if the digital dash display in the facelift superb is a 10 or 12 inch. I hear the 10 inch is outdated, slow, and lacking what is advertised. Also VW models have both fitted depending on model. Still getting a new superb, but would be good to know.
