  1. Here are images of my Thule kit - Wingbar + 754 foot pack + 1726 installation kit for the Superb hatchback.
  2. I Was actually considering Kodiaq but it seemed to be a downgrade from Superb + there are no good deals for it and what they are asking at the dealership is waaaay to much for the car it is. The Volvo switch was partly a coincidence - found a good deal and since I had requirements that it met I took it (requirements based on the current weather ) - 4x4, aux. heater, heated windshield, heated steering wheel and the comfiest seats in the world + all the other bells and whistles.
  3. After 3+ years it was time to move on. What I can say to others based on my experience - don't buy an early production car!!! (mine was produced in May 2015) I had to visit the dealership every third month in the beginning due to technical issues like door rubber seals (all 4, glue failed), chrome trim of the front doors, front and rear wishbone bushing, water pump, front left light levelling system failure, infotainment unit screen issues, Canton issues (failed subwoofer, rear left and front left door subwoofer), Adblue level sensor issues.... Thankfully Skoda resolved all this under warranty and I had no issues with the dealership what so ever, friendly and helpful throughout the ownership. After fixing the problems under warranty it has been a joy to drive. Anyway decided to try something else for change, now rolling in an XC60 (which feels like a Mini after the Superb). Thanks for all the advice and help you gave me!
  4. I also had issues and decided to try the DTUK pedal box instead of the coding. It transformed the car (better result compared to the Audi setting).
  5. It will most likely be available in the end of Q3 2019 or even Q4 2019. Here are images of the actual facelifted Superb (second page)
  6. Some more with a bit of camo on but a better colour
  7. And here it is, not very appealing tbh. Maybe a different colour.
  8. Take a look here, there are some examples of the armrest deadening.
  9. I have been using different Samsung Galaxy series phones and they have all worked without issues (S6/S7/S8). The only issues I have had were the cables which I need to chance in every 6 months or so because they break eventually, not enough that they would not pass data or power to/from a PC or wall charger, but clearly broken enough for the car that seems to be picky when it comes to the connection.
  10. Take a look at the VCDS topic. If you have the camera and navigation unit (amundsen/columbus) then it can be activated.
  11. Going for an MY17 and newer car should be fine. I have the mentioned "early adopter" car produced in the first production months of S3 in may 2015 and it has been a nightmare - most of the problems mentioned above + issues with door seals (replaced 2x), rear brakes, start/stop engine button, rear left speaker, water pump + belt. Now going in to replace the amplifier and subwoofer and it seems that one of the tailgates electric struts is dying since the opening is quite slow sometimes. But despite the problems, I still love the car and its the best one I have owned in terms of bang for buck and comfort. Two of my friends have newer MY17-MY18 cars and literally zero issues with those. PS: I dont know about others but Skoda has never rejected any warranty cases for me, everything has been taken care of and I haven't had to argue with them at all.
  12. I had the same Noise and it went away after the rear wishbone bushings were changed, its been almost a year since and its still quiet.
  13. Its the standard Bolero screen from MY18 I think. The Amundsen screen part number is 3V0919605D.
  14. The referred screen is actually 8", its just the new glossy type with touch buttons. I have the same idea - to upgrade the old Columbus 8" screen to the newer Amundsen 8" screen and add the virtual cockpit.
  15. That really depends on the bikes, my road bike is 7,2kg and MTB 10kg so having even 4 MTBs on the roof would not exceed the limit. Most of the modern bikes should not exceed 15kg in weight. If you are carrying 20kg monsters then it's a different story.
