Some magazines make me angry with their non-competent articles.
Last year Autobild wrote that Kodiaq had 9,2" navi. Oh, really?!?

Hi AandOsDad,
the car seat on the right is a isofix seat. Slotted straight into the ports. Very firm fit. The only criticism I could find with the car is the high windows in the back. My kids would struggle to see out of the side! Otherwise a very nice car.
Cheers.
Same problem with kids and windows on my wife's Captur, too.

Could a third person sit in between?

There is one in Slovenia. Our dealers will get its own demo cars in March. And I expect to get my delivery date (ordered on 12th Jan) by end of February.

When I had a test drive, I drove the car with dark alcantara. It was rainy at 8am in the morning. It was quite dark inside and I really liked the whole interrior. But it may look worse with beige interrior. Large and crystal-clear navigation unit, brisk instrumental cluster/panel and nicely lighted buttons on steering wheel, air conditioning and elsewhere was everything that I saw at that time. Mostly I was focusing on the road and how it rides. Maybe at sunny noon It could look different. But at least this part of the car in front of the front passeneger is not covered with plain plastic as I saw in Superb.

Between Zebra part and glove box or Zebra part itself?

Scout and Sportsline are already mentioning 9.2" display. It may be offered from week 22 on.
2.5D is probably 2D viewed in birds view that looks like 3D.
-
Columbus will have 9.2" in the near future and it currently has:
- 3D maps (Amundsen has 2.5D)
- online maps update (Amundsen has SD card that is updated on computer)
- fully functional window in window
- internal 64 GB SSD drive
- 2 free SD card slots
- Google Maps and Street View
- option to include LTE module with SIM slot and RSAP

I am talking ahout change made in the factory and not the change made by DCC itself.
-
I know that if I press button and switch from comfort to sport mode, the height is the same.
But people are asking if having DCC lowers ground clearance from 187mm to 177mm like it happens in Superb? And I don't know the answer.
-
It is not about the change. The ground clearance is always the same. But in the case of Superb, Tiguan and Passat, the ground clearance is different if DCC is included.
-
Hi!
On German forum I've heard that on Superb if you have DCC, the car is 10 mm lower.
Does that happen also on Kodiaq? I tought the DCC doesn't have any impact on height.
Cheers, Roman

The problem lies in the pricing of LED lights.
-
This week I drove Kodiaq and it had wireless heated windscreen. No metal wires! And 60% of the sun heat is reflected back keeping inner temperature 15% lower.
-
So all engines with DSG are using wet clutch?
-
I am glad I've ordered it.
Because of the kids I've given up on beige interrior but that test car has dark alcantara and I've just fell in love with it. Black makes interrior more classic and it is harder to see any hard plastic in below area.
Even with 19" wheels, the DCC works great and in comfort mode road bumps were absorbed well. That was my only concern regarding Kodiaq (German cars are known not to be comfort) because today I've driven Skoda for the first time. When I switched back to Grand Scenic, my car felt somehow too soft. Still I don't like stiff suspension.
Canton plays very loud at 25% of volume.
Navigation was working well. I've tested area view. Compared to Grand Scenic diesel, TDi has larger turbo hole below 1750 rpm but above that it flies. Thanks to DSG you don't need to bother with it.
Now I know now why it is a winner in so many reviews.

Today I've driven one... by flesh
