Car mot was done at independent garage use before on other vehicle not this one so could rely it.he said just change pads all round as discs ok for awhile but did this before and wasn’t comfortable with braking.he said been fitting apec for years and not had issues with them but not sure myself

Hi car passed mot just advisory on pads thin price to change front and rear discs and pads all round is £295.was quoted this just on front so though can’t be good.brake fluid will change at service soon or on brakes fitting

Hello all i have 2015 Octavia 1.6TDI 105hp dsg box just had mot and told needs pads all round but discs are fine. They only quoted me for apec brakes as that’s what they recommend but never heard of them. can anyone please offer any help or offer alternatives Also having trouble getting the right sizes for discs from 276/288/312 or 344mm front and 253/276mm on rear I tried finding PR codes but nothing matches on boot label to what euro parts etc have appreciate your help please

Thanks for response I have Google only find about lights flashing on prnds which means problems but don’t have any lights on see if dealer can find out

Hi all My 1.6tdi Octavia 2015 doesn’t show green light when you select any prnds on the dsg gears it shows what you have selected on dashboard so is it a easy fix or something worrisome appreciate your advice please many thanks mo

Hello all just got used 2014 rapid se connect 1.2 and are bowled over with it apart from one nagging problem I want all doors to open on a single push of remote control instead of just drivers door.dealer said I can do it by mfd display if I look in handbook but I’ve looked in book and can’t find anything about it.i have managed to get into settings but even this doesn’t have the option either so does it need plugging into computer and adjust it that way.Also dealer said its a chain engine and not cam belt I thought they stopped doing chains now as there was lots of issues if not serviced regularly many thanks all for advice

Hello thanks for reply had engine management light on when car stalled then local garage cleared light and has never returned on. I had thought the same about not touching it think code fault is P3078

Hello all i was told there is a fault code in fsi petrol engine throttle body garage wants to spend hour labour to investigate fault but if replaced its a £500 part they said. so was wondering before they do anything I ask forum members for advice on this and can anyone advise on whether or not to have it stripped and cleaned.Have heard this shouldn’t be done think on this forum. car is 11 years old with 107k on clock still drives lovely so don’t understand problem as it drives fine all help appreciated thank you

Hello just a query about what size wiper blades my Octavia 06 petrol should have. was about to order some online at a good price but when I checked the size for the pair they was 24" and 19" but on my car they are 26"&16".if I have to buy each separate it's double the price can anyone clarify the sizes please thank you

Hello would like to know if there is a easy way to add a dab radio to the stream hu.As it display rear parking sensors the ac display which don't really want to lose.Dealer offered a kenwood unit but not at the figure he quoted and couldn't guarantee of keeping the display sensor etc from working I ask the forum for any ideas not really any good at practical work unless it's easy and straight forward to do many thanks
