  1. I wanted to add the I had this issue on my old Octavia. I'd been to the supermarket and had my car valeted by the firm down there. Turned out one of the people had a bit of a thing for really drowning the shifter cover in a lot of detergent spray. This had caused the issue and I was also given a fairly steep price for fixing it. In the end of traded the car in with the fault.
  2. Hi Pullover - I had the exact same situation on my previous car. Whatever you - don't cancel the Direct Debit. There could be any one of a number of issues, such as DVLA, not being quick with deregistering the vehicle in your name or the processing time as a whole. If you cancel the Direct Debit you could be in breach of contract, it also makes it even slower to get a refund as and when everything is processed. When I got rid of my old BMW it took approximately 3-4 weeks for it to be all cancelled down and annoyingly an unbudgeted for extra payment was taken - it was all returned but it took a couple of weeks.
  3. Thanks buddy. Just ordered from him. Thank you so much everyone for the advice.
  4. On my previous couple of BMWs, you could do a simplistic VIN lookup and see what options were spec’d on your car when built. There were lots of websites and the info easy to get your hands on. I’ve been through the forum but all the VIN lookup services for the Skoda are either now defunct, only show high level info or charge a hefty fee. Is there a reputable website that will show the options on my car? Thanks in advance, Matt.
  5. I absolutely love the new look steering wheel but sadly my new inbound MK3 2020 LK Superb doesn't have it. Is there a way to retrofit one? I've seen some knocking about on various online auction sites - but didn't know if would require significant coding or hub modifications. This the one I'm lusting after...
  6. It's going to be a week. Having owned the BMW and it's continual trips back in to get stuff fixed - I've become a master of patience in my old age (5 months I was without it for prior to getting it all fixed and selling it 🤯. Not the car's fault more the incompetent local dealer). In all truth I could grab it tomorrow but sadly got existing commitments. It's about an hour and half from me - so I'm going to have to just wait it out. 😬
  7. Hi everyone. I used to have an Octavia for a few years before getting seduced by BMWs. After owning a BMW 6GT, and a less than stellar experience with a local dealer - I've decided to come back to Skoda, having just ordered a K&L Superb. I'm really excited to grab the car and wondered if anyone had any tips for me?
