  1. Hijacking this thread to avoid starting another. My 67 plate 50k miles is now out of warranty (Skoda extended) so looking to get a remap. It's a 245 special (heated seats etc.) so doesn't have the GPF as far as I can tell/see. Anyone have any recommendations for where to go for the remap in central belt Scotland?
  2. We ordered ours (1.0 110 SE DSG) in Nov or Dec and it was delivered in May with electric rear windows.
  3. Came with electric rear windows too! Was expecting wind down windows as thought electrics in the rear were de-speced.
  4. Car is getting delivered on 20th May. Given it was estimated to be April not bad at all. That being said we ordered bog standard spec so expect it wasn't built for our order.
  5. Had a call to say should be receiving the 1.0 TSI SE we ordered in December sometime this month. In the UK already apparently. Suspect reallocation of stock as last update they didn't even have a build date.
  6. I had the gloss black and overall they were ok but with a few small scrapes here and there I guess moisture got under the lacquer as started looking a bit mouldy on some of the diamond cut lines. I paid £295 for the wheels to be done, cheapest quote for my area (central Scotland).
  7. Ordered Kamiq in December 21, with expected delivery of April 22 but was told yesterday that Skoda have no idea when it will or can be built.
  8. Copied you with satin black powder coated xtremes on a meteor grey 245. Think it looks better than the original diamond cut which looked like a flower pattern to me. Drove through some rain on way home so bit grubby already, which I didn't help with finger prints, but you get the idea!
  9. I recently replaced all four corners with the OE equivalent Brembo discs and pads that Eurocarparts stock, when they were running 50% discount of course. Used their fitting service for the first time too which was straight forward. Total for parts and fitting was less than half what Skoda main dealer wanted. 300 miles in and no complaints, performance as expected and not dramatic either way. I went with Brembo purely on price point and not the brand name. With previous cars can't say I've ever noticed much difference between OE equivalents from various brands so I would have gone for Pagid, Ate etc. if cheaper.
  10. Resurrecting a thread, but my 67 plate 245 (Dec 18 build) has a coolant leak around the thermostat housing / water pump so doesn't appear to be completely fixed for '17 onward. 6 months out of warranty so goodwill is only covering around a third of the total fix price.
  11. My 2017 vRS 245 had the bag in. I took it out several weeks ago and the seam on one side wasn't perfect so glad I did it.
  12. The LEDs can definitely be adjusted at the dealership. Mine were far too high so got them adjusted down after a lot of complaining and having to wait for clocks to change for them to test drive in darkness. They agreed they were too high and adjusted them down, but now they are slightly lower than perfect but I prefer that to getting flashed all the time.
  13. Dealer finally adjusted the lights down and they are noticeably lower and how I would expect dipped beam to be! They took it for a test drive and agreed they are high and likely dazzling oncoming traffic. Also compared to another car of same model and year they had in and the difference was huge, although turned out the other model was set too low!
  14. The car was at the dealers and they say the system is fine when car is static and measured to MOT requirements. More than a necessary amount of "discussion" to get them to do something and all I'm getting is the diagnostics say everything is working, nothing we can investigate further without evidence. The way it is now any witnesses will say my lights dazzled them! But I'm to continue driving until they can test drive themselves as my word is not enough for them. This is not just a couple of people flashing me and complaining. It is every single time I use the car at night. Light assist off so it is not the high beam slow to turn down, set to left hand traffic. Everything I can think of I've checked.
  15. Thanks for that. After a fair bit of 'discussion' all I've managed to get is them to leave the warranty ticket open and test drive it and see when it is dark during working hours in several weeks. They kept saying the level is an MOT pass and lights are designed to throw light farther but I still firmly believe it is too high. I take it messing with the manual adjusters under the bonnet won't work?
  16. Car is currently in the garage. First call back to say lights are all OK and in line with MOT requirements. The amount of times I'm getting flashed and how high the dipped beam looks against trees, signs etc whilst driving is ridiculous. Any tips on what the ask them to check? No faults on the diagnostic. EDIT: Octavia vRS 245 67 plate.
  17. Just finished a 400+ mile trip half in darkness and my lights were always very high. Car is a 2017 vRS 245. I turned off light assist but was still getting flashed by vehicles on the other side of the motorway/dual carriageway and cars I followed were complaining in various ways, but some very clearly annoyed with my lights being high. Is there a way to adjust them down? I was getting flashed every mile or so, so it is obviously too high. Before anyone asks main beam was off. On start up they do the little dance up and down. Cheers
