Well, I turned everyting that was chrome on my car into black. And added black mirror covers. So I guess my advise won't be objective....

At Ali Express. You'll need the clip type if you have an O3, there is also a screw type, so watch out. You replace the handle with this box.

That doesn't sound right. I don't know the name either, but am familiar with the wheel you ment, should be no problem. I do know a lot can go wrong if the lowering isn't done right. I even know of height snesors for the Xenon adjustment being fitted wrong, so the owner knocked them off from under the car at the first ride he did.
Is everything mounted right? Didn't leave a stabiliser unfitted or something like that? How is the feel of the ride?

Thanks, no not yet, I got the car the 3rd of January, but got plans. Not more then Stage 1 though, for now. Bring it up to 230hp with 370 Nm, like the RS230. That will be enough, no room on the roads for more power, except in Germany on the Autobahn, but that also isn't what it used to be. A lot of traffic and roadworks and also more and more speed limiting. Can't get the power on the road as well without limited slip differential.
All other mods are done now though, including an after market sunglasses storage box, because with the panoramic sunroof, the original one is cancelled. Also a lot of VCDS mods.
Pity the color isn't available with you.

So the wheels are 18" 7,5J ET45 with 225x45R18? Which standard wheels are you talkiing about? How much did you drop the suspension? Still doesn't sound like it's about your wheel setup.

Nice project. How much hp and torque are you at now, with the fuel you run in India? The gear box can be adjusted on clamp force of the clutch plates and the gear program, which would give you a usable first gear and puts less strain on the gearbox in general.
Are you sure the DQ200 is a wet clutch gear box now, I didn't hear anything about that here in The Netherlands? It is recommended to stay under 350Nm or 400Nm with special adaptions. The engine can run 250 hp on the cranck with 102 fuel here in The Netherlands and Germany, but that will take special care.
it is possible to switch ypur bumpers for real VRS without much change, only the last part of the exhaust system needs adaptations.
I also made some changes to my 1.8TSI, apart from being full option, I added some aftermarket stuff. Also running 19" 8,5J rims with 235x35R19 with a 30 mm lowered suspension, but the roads are better over here. Really corners like a train though.

Should not happen. I lowered 30 mm and run 19" 8,5J rims ET47 with 235/35R19 tyres and have no problem at all.
I also know an O3 driver with the same wheel setup that had 40 mm lowering and 10 mm spacers on either side on the back axle.
you either have a different issue non related to the wheels or you have an ET under 40 or over 50.

Hello, Nice car.
It seems normal to change specs in between ordering en delivery, I've heard that before and it is stated in the small letters in your contract that that could occur.
I've also read some typical small problems with the Superb on the Dutch forum, I'm curious if you'll have any of them.

The BBS SV are also available in ET38, but those would have been protruding outside the wheel cases.Mine are 42 and the fronts are pretty close to being illegal.
The rears sit inboard quite a bit so you can get some pretty fat spacers on them.

Depends what your offset is, My current wheels are 19x8 et41 so sit 9mm further out that the BBS's and they could do with a small spacer at the rear so i've gone for a 15mm spacer for the rear and an 8mm at the front for the BBS's and will see how they look.
Correct. Mine is ET47, his is ET 50, so not a lot more to the inside, apart from the difference in width of the rim.

I bought some new wheels that I've always wanted and they came up for a good price!
Set of Genuine BBS CH 18x8 ET50 wheels with 225/40/18 tyres... I'm going to get some 235/40/18's and I've already ordered some spacers! Will get some more photos once tyres and spacers on!
BBS CH 18x8 don't need much spacer. My BBS 19x8,5 need no spacers at all in the front and 10mm at each side in the back at the most. And these wheels are just half an inch wider.

Norway and The Netherlands are not so different after all. The only thing is though, if I would mount my license plates with Velcro, they would be gone in under 5 minutes here. We have to use rivets, screws aren't secure enough.
So I guess Norway still is a better country to live in.

What hood dampers did you get. Were these avaliable from the dealer? And how about the led lights?
Edit: Sorry, I just read about the dampers.
I had some LEDs put in by the dealer, but most people get them through the internet and put them in themselves.

Cars in general are priced absolutely crazy in Norway and we are known for our taxes towards vehicles. We actually paid well over 50k euros for this car with all except three options. As for snow this is indeed a good car for Norway

That price is about what you would pay in The Netherlands for a Scout like that. Skoda is supposed to be a budget car here, but really isn't anymore. I have the top trim 1.8 tsi combi, style, and all but one options and some accessories, with a special Business package, where the importer offers options in a discount package which gives up to a few thousand Euro's advantage. But in spite of that it still costs €48K. On the base price of this trim, which is € 33260 (so without extra options but with the Business package) the taxes alone, consisting of VAT and a car tax called BPM, are a whopping total of € 12.046 !
And in the €15K options I have there is ofcourse tax as well, so over 36% of the total price would be taxes.
So lets work a little harder for the man
