Hi Chris I know this is an old post but I have been considering doing this to my Mk3.5 vrs. Can you tell me how easy or otherwise it was to do and what was invovled to get a decent fit please? Many thanks
-
No worries 👍🏻
-
Is this still available and if so where are you based?
-
Are these easy enough to fit?
-
Fitted today so here are the before and after pics. Unfortunately won't be driving for a few days but fitment is really nice and they feel top quality 👍🏻
-
The more I read on here and other groups clarifies what has been said here already that the mk7 Golf ones won't fit. I have now taken the rather expensive plunge and ordered the Leyo Motorsport ones from Awesome. They seem to get the best reviews for quality and fitment unlike a lot of the stick on ones

Is anyone able to confirm for me if paddle extensions intended for a mk7 / 7.5 Golf R will also fit my 2020 mk3.5 245 VRS please? I've found some nice looking carbon fibre ones at a reasonable price but the seller can't confirm this for me. Alternatively if anyone can recommend any genuine carbon fibre ones intended for the Octy that dont break the bank and are good quality that would be great. Thanks in advance

Perfect thanks very much for the replies

Hi guys and girls. I've tried searching the forum for an answer to this but cannot find one which is probably down to user error so apologies. Could somebody point me in the right direction for a set of rear mud guards for my 2020 VRS? Skoda dealer says they don't exist but I know I've seen others with them fitted. Thanks in advance

Cheers Noms I was wondering if it was something they may have changed if it was causing issues
-
No problem with that at all just relieved if it sounds like I haven't got one of these silicone bags floating around in the reservoir
-
Quick question. I have a 2020 Octavia 245 VRS. I have checked the coolant reservoir and it does not have the text on the outside warning about the silicone bag and appears to be single skin. I also cannot see a bag. I may have just answered my own question but can I assume from that I have nothing to worry about?

Must be just me then but I’ve never had any issue locating the right parts on there or other sites offering the same sort of thing
-
I have been tempted for a while with spacers as my 2010 fl Octy vrs could definitely benefit from the wheels filling the arches a bit more. I’ve been a little put off by all sorts of horror stories with them causing issues tho. What’s your feedback on them Damian as someone who sells them? Also out of interest could you DM me a price for 15 rear and 10 front Eibach. Cheers

🤣 Yes if you’re unlucky but just check the part number matches what you ordered before you leave I find usually works 👍🏻

It’s worth a good shop around i think. From experience some insurers just don’t like or won’t even touch mods but there are plenty out there who are mod friendly 👍🏻 -
Try going on to the Eurocarparts website where you can type in your reg and it will bring up all options for your car 👍🏻

Perfect thanks very much pal -
I experienced an absolute nightmare with this a couple of months ago. Mine is a 2010 fl vrs petrol. Exactly the same issue in that one day bonnet fine and the next day just would not pop. Cable still had tension at the release handle. Stripped arch liner and under tray but no matter how much yanking on the cable or what was done with the small part of the latch you could get to it would not release. My nightmare ended with resorting to the extreme of cutting the bonnet and when we did so we found that the latch had completely seized. I suppose this shouldn’t be a surprise as it is very exposed to the elements through the front grille. Luckily I managed to source a replacement bonnet in a matching colour and being Silver fortunately the match is almost perfect. Needless to say I replaced all mechanism and cable and will now make it a routine job cleaning and greasing the bonnet catch

I had mine fitted by my local Indy who advised top mount replacements at the same time as they looked like the originals and were looking tired. Mines done 64k -

I recently fitted b4’s and Eibach pro’s to my 2010 fl vrs and felt a big improvement over stock. I didn’t want to end up too low either and this set up has dropped it 20mm with much better ride quality over the standard set up. I got mine as recommended by DPM performance who were very helpful and well priced too -
This is so true. Likewise the bonnet on my mk1 vrs was opened far less often than my mk2 it would seem. Still a great car tho so although it’s an annoyance I don’t begrudge having to spend the money to repair it
