  1. I thought I would update as it has now done about 5000 miles. Love the car, fast and comfortable. But what you will never hear coming from my lips is following phrase "to be honest I can't fault it". People who say that just need to try harder imho So what are my comments 1 The fuel gauge going to 7/8 full is a thing. If I keep pressing the fuel pump about 5 times then it will show full. If I do it twice then it won't. As I said originally I have seen this on a previous Octavia and my Passat. 2 The stitching on the leather on the passenger seat looks like it might be pulling, if it doesn't get any worse then no problem so I will keep an eye on it. 3. Not sure this is a fault or me misunderstanding. But I thought that the lane assist was deactivated by using the indicators? Sometimes (not always) I can feel the steering fight back as I cross the white line. The light on instrument pod is orange not green so it thinks that the lane assist is inactive. Anyone else seen this? But the DSG gear box is great, and the Adaptive cruise control is just amazing.
  2. I got a bit covered in tree parked overnight.
  3. If I do the sums and make loads assumptions. I get that I was 4.5 litres short. Assumption 1 the tank holds 66litres Assumption 2 it was supplied 1/4 full. (16.5l) Assumption 3 I put in 45l =61.5l Ps really like the colour, my Wife chose it. I got a bit worried because I remembered, she doesn't perceive green very well ( I am not making this up) and she once had a green maestro, which was a foul colour and in my head I had transferred it on to the superb. I am glad we ordered it when we did because the current colours on offer look most uninspiring to my eyes.
  4. I did warn you all about overestimating my technical abilities Coops. In order to answer you question I would require the following information. How much fuel was in there to start with the delivery driver said. 1/4 tank I think, I was much too excited to remember. I then toddled off to my local Morrisons to fill up. I would tell you how much fuel I put in but I paid at the pump and it didn't spit out a receipt but I think around £52 @ 115.7p. It's not a big deal it won't spoil my enjoyment or raise my blood pressure, just wondered if it was a common fault based on my past experienced.
  5. While it is pretty difficult to underestiminate my technical abilities. On a good day I can just about deal with a fuel pump. I raised it because I had seen similar on my Octavia and as I did 100k plus and it was petrol, I wasn't unacquainted with giving it a drink, latterly I had seen the same with my Passat on about 70% the times I refuelled in the last year. First 3 years it never happened. It migh never happen again with the Superb and it's not a big issue for me if it does. Anyway a photo. Less jungle green, more rain Forrest green.
  6. Thanks for the information. I will keep an eye on the fuel gauge. But as put in my original post. With the Octavia, the fuel gauge was accurately indicating how full the tank is.
  7. My 190 TDI Dsg L&K combi, in jungle green turned up yesterday and I am very happy only done 100 miles so early days, but no rattles or scratches. But I have a couple of questions firstly can anyone tell me what the thing that looks like a tank in the rear left cubby hole actually is? Secondly I filled up yesterday and the gauge got to 7/8 full. This doesn't particularly worry me but I had an Octavia about 15 years ago and it did exactly the same. I assumed it was simply that the sender until I ran out of fuel one night. It is the only time I ever done this. Also I had this car from New until 115k and twice in that time the tank actually filled, i.e. It took more than I expected and the gauge showed full. The Skoda, replaced a Passat and that started to do the same in the last 12 months. Added to this a friend had a Caravelle which did the same, he put this down to modifications due to a wheelchair lift being fitted. So the question is has anyone else experienced this with a Skoda or for that matter any other VAG vechicle?
  8. No Problem But if it does turn up with 2 steering wheels, would you like first refusal on the spare one?
  9. OK, this is what I ordered in end. 190 L&K dsg Estate Beige leather, Jungle green metallic The extras from back to front Integrated towbar Rear camera Rear wiper Space saver spare vairable boot floor backrest release Retractable parcel shelf Heated Steering wheel with paddles Travel assist with traffic sign recognition Smart light assist Media command Heated washer nozzles Note one. I didn't in the end go for the ventilated seats, or 19" inch wheels. The seats I might resist the wheels I don't think I will notice I am mr averageish driver. Note two. I ordered the media command by mistake, I have more chance of becoming the next Pope, than it getting used. I'm not saying this is the correct choice but it is definitely my choice.
  10. Towbar is on the list. If have a folding one my Passat and like it. Heated steering wheel is a must according to my wife What's not on the list at the moment. 4x4 too much tax Panoramic roof just haven't used a sunroof for years even when fitted. Also always find get hammer from air when they are open Ventilated seats I dismissed these as a gimmick I might have to reconsider.
  11. I am going to ask one of the unanswerable questions of our age. I am about to place the order on a L&K combi. This is a company car and the amount I can spend is reasonably generous. So if I want to I can tick lots of the option boxes. So from your experience. What is the option that you are most glad that you specified and which option is a complete waste of space and money?
  12. Thank you. That is according to the brochure the sum of the max trailer weight and the total weight of the car. I am also fortunate from a UK perspective to be old enough to tow over 3500kg without taking an extra test
  13. First post and hope you all agree catchy title ???? I am seriously think of getting a 190 L&K Estate as my next car. Does anyone know what the maximum train weight of the vehicle is? It might be as simple as the maximum laden weight of the car + the maximum trailer weight. On the other hand it might not be. The salesman didn't know and I just thought I would ask Thanks
