I could be wrong, but I think Predictive ACC is now available on the Superb as well. 30 colour mood lighting can be coded in with VCDS/VCP. (I've done so myself on my MY2018 280)

I'm not sure whether the same holds true for the FL lights, but at least for Pre-FL, these lights were only physically installed if the option was ticked when ordering the car. (or of course, if the option was included with certain trim lines) I'm afraid, if they aren't already active, they're most likely not physically present in the car.

That sounds interesting. I guess if you’d like to share them possible options would be OneDrive or WeTransfer.

Whilst I can’t be sure about what is or isn’t missing in terms of coding on your car of course, the missing parameter for my coding was this: In control group 13, Adaptive Cruise Control, enable FPK_Functions via Adaptations. That was basically it for my car. Let me know if this helped you out @RomanB

The trim part for my car was 3V0857053ANF8. Apparently the “NF8” part should be the colour code corresponding to the vehicle, so it would be wise to check that with a dealership. It might get you in the right direction, though. The steering wheel with VIEW button shouldn’t strictly speaking be necessary. On my car, before I replaced the steering wheel with a Sportline steering wheel (with VIEW button), I could change the view on the VC by clicking the thumb wheel on the right hand side of the steering wheel. When I replaced the steering wheel, no recoding was required, so I assume (dangerous word) this is something the car checks. That being said, the “proper” way is a bit more intuitive. I have had the retrofit done and, even though I didn’t order all the parts myself, most of them were ordered by the guy who carried out the actual retrofit, I think you have everything listed there. As far as I know, the mileage displayed in the VC unit can only be adjusted if it’s below 100km. Whether that translates to 62miles or not, I don’t know. If you buy a VC unit with a higher mileage than this, adjusting it is no longer possible.

I ordered mine from Superskoda indeed. I’ve placed a few orders with them, and their after sales service can be quite spotty as mentioned above. I have a feeling that most of it comes down to the language barrier and not to unwillingness to help. I’ve attached a picture of what mine looks like.

I’ve had mine about three years now, and have changed more than a few things in the meantime. Of the top off my head, in no particular order: - Swapped out the standard chrome front grille for the Sportline one. - Swapped out the steering wheel for the Sportline one. - Retrofitted the digital dashboard (well, I had this done since I didn’t feel comfortable doing it myself and don’t have the necessary software and dongle). - Added a stainless steel lip to the boot. - Added a Racechip XLR Throttle box. - Added spacers (12mm at the front, 15 at the rear). - Changed the wiper fluid cover for the new one with the funnel built in. - Changed the lights in the door for brighter white ones (superskoda) - Changed the lights in the boot lid for the brighter ones (superskoda) - Installed the rubber tunnel cover for the footwells at the rear. - Made more than a few adaptations via VCP. There’s probably more than that, but that’s pretty much all I can think about right now.

I missed part of the question, apologies. Total cost (since I didn’t have a set of XZN Triple Squares) came to about 280€. I did reuse the original airbag, since I went from heated steering wheel to heated steering wheel.

I ordered it from maxidily.cz While their website didn’t offer shipping to my location (Belgium), a quick back and forth email exchange AMS everything was settled. Great customer experience. The part number of the steering wheel I installed is this: 3V0419091AFBGW

Finally got around to installing the new steering wheel. I know it’s more of a vanity item, since there was nothing wrong with the old one, but the Sportline steering wheel does feel quite a bit nicer to me. All in all, a surprisingly easy swap, especially with the maintenance manual ready for consultation.

@newbie69 Your statement is valid for MIB2.5 cars. For MIB3 cars (Scala, Superb iV and presumably Superb MY2021 as well, amongst others), the title, artist, artwork etc. can actually be displayed on the digital dash when using CarPlay. (Not sure about Android Auto, I haven’t got a single Android device, but I assume it would be the same.)

I have a retrofitted digital dashboard in my Superb, so your mileage may vary, however: on my Superb, the audio source shows up as “Apple CarPlay, just like you say. On the Scala, on the other hand, full metadata is shown on the digital dash. Of course, the Scala is MIB3 and the Superb isn’t, but that does show that it’s certainly not impossible to get the data. I’d say the question is rather whether or not the Infotainment system is capable of retrieving/displaying it. Sort of the same thing happens with navigation. On the Scala, I can have Waze running and providing nav on the central screen and still show the map from the built in navigation on the digital dash. On the Superb, I can’t. If I try to display the map when Waze/Google Maps/Apple Maps/... is providing route guidance, the digital dash will show a caution message that route guidance is provided “on the other device”. So yes, quite a difference between MIB2.5 and MIB3. In conclusion, as from MY21 all Superbs (not only the iV as it is now) should be MIB3, which will more than likely solve this issue.

Wireless CarPlay is definitely an interesting one. Whilst not a big fan of assumptions, I think this means the entire Superb line-up will move to MIB3, instead of MIB3 for the iV and MIB2.5 for everything else as it is right now. The new steering wheel looks nice as well. Just like it was with the Gold R, I have a feeling the change of power will be more of an administrative change than an actual change in power.

After a very long time I finally managed to find (thanks to this forum) a place which sells the steering wheel I need at a reasonable price. However, I don't think I have the correct socket to remove the steering wheel. Looking around on the internet, most people seem to be talking about Triple Square sockets, whilst earlier in this topic a spline drive was mentioned a few times. Since multiple people seem to already have done this install, which should I actually get? Thanks!

Apparently a lot of stuff has moved within the coding. I haven’t had my hands on te Facelift model myself, but from what I can tell from others, the discovery of possible adaptations on the Facelift is still ongoing. So, never say never, but I don’t think all options will have been explored anytime soon.

Installed a new set of windshield wipers today. Only the fronts ones, since I never use the rear. Went for a set of Bosch Aerotwins. I haven’t had the opportunity to test them yet, but we should be getting a few drops of rain over the coming days, so that should be solved pretty quickly. The old ones lasted about two and a half years, not bad for a set of OEM wipers. Though, to be fair, I don’t expect to use them that much either, since I also cost my windshield with a water repellent, which does work really well at speeds higher than about 50-60 kph.

I never had to change anything, since I already had the correct Columbus unit. However, I did have to order one trim piece at my local dealership, the piece which provides the transition between the steering column and the dashboard is different between the analog dashboard and the digital one. Price for that little piece of trim was about 50€, so I don’t expect replacement trim for the Columbus unit to be cheap. If you need an extra piece of trim, I would advise to contact a dealer, or someone with access to ETKA.

I can’t help you with whether or not an option can be ticked in VCDS to allow the USB ports to charge your phone with the car off. However, the 12V cigarette lighter outlet is always hot, even if the car is switched off. So you could buy a cheap 12V to USB charger and at least have a workaround. An other option, one I personally use a lot, is a Powerbank/external battery to charge my phone/tablet/laptop/...

I tried this setting a few days ago and have driven about 20-30 kilometres since doing the adaptation. I can’t say I notice any difference, at all.

Thanks for the bump. Earlier today, the guy who installed the Virtual Cockpit for me managed to fix what was wrong via TeamViewer. Great after-sale service! If anyone ever has this problem and needs it fixed, don’t hesitate to send a PM my way. If you have VCP available, it’s a relatively easy fix, though it’s not exactly the most intuitive thing to find. @numskull It is possible, and it’s even relatively straight forward if the correct boxes are ticked(mainly the 9,2” Columbus). Don’t expect this to be an easy or cheap retrofit though, it’s a lot more cost effective to tick the option when ordering the car. For me, that wasn’t an option since I have a MY2018 car and VC wasn’t available “back then”. Still extremely glad I went for the retrofit, though. All in all, I paid about 2000€ for the retrofit.

We’ve got the Propus Aero time (though in 17”, not 18”) on our Scala as well. Took some time to get used to them, but I really like them now. They’re relatively easy to clean as well.

I am quite happy with the new settings on mine. I might even increase the different levels a little more, but that’s just personal preference.
