Hi all, Has anyone installed a front splitter from Maxton Design at all? I bought my 2013 VRS in January which already had a Maxton front splitter fitted but it was damaged and I’ve been wanting to replace it with a new one for a while but looking on their website and Facebook page I’m a bit put off by what seems like quite a lot of negative reviews over install issues, build quality and customer service in general so am interested if anyone has any experiences of recent installs at all? If anyone has any pictures of the two splitters I screenshotted fitted that you could post that would be amazing as I’m struggling to see the difference between the two or make a decision on which to go for. Ahhh so more of a half decent mid range option these days? I must admit I was surprised initially to see them at that price point

Morning all. I’ve read through quite a few posts when searching but they were dated from a little while ago I’m just after some up to date opinions. Just recently had my 2013 Facelift VRS in for a tyre repair (bloody great nail in a new tyre with only 1300 miles 🙄) when the tyre was off they advised the back discs were looking pretty shot and as it’s coming up for MOT in February I decided to get a quote for replacing rear discs and pads. Looking online at parts vs the garage quoted price I’ve decided to get the parts myself and just pay the garage labour to fit, having entered my reg number on Euro Car Parts I was quite surprised to see Brembo listed as a mid range price point option (I’ve always regarded Brembo as a mid-high end product) so placed an order for a pair of discs and pads, reading various reviews it sounds like Brembo still a solid choice for mid-range kit, would you say this is still correct? Does anyone have standard Brembo discs/pads on and how do you find them? I don’t track the car, I do very limited motorway and town driving. I noticed from some of the posts a lot of different sizes being discussed depending on what year VRS you have. I’ve not had the car long but just went with what came up on the Euro Car Parts as recommended products, but this has just put a small amount of doubt that I might have ordered the wrong parts. Sorry to resurrect an old thread but seemed better than starting a new one. Hoping someone might have the answer. I’m shortly about to pick up my VRS 2013 MKIII. The previous owner had already debadged the rear boot of the SKODA and OCTAVIA and although it’s a neat job I just personally prefer the badges on, so I’ve ordered a set of OEM badges from SuperSkoda but does anyone have the exact badge placement measurements I’ve tried Googling hoping I’d find something but nothing so far. If anyone can confirm the measurements in from the boot edge either side and the measurements up from the middle part of the boot lid (before it goes down into the number plate) it would be much appreciated.

Hi all, new to the forums, apologies if this topic comes up time and time again I did a search but couldn’t find anything recent that gave me the info I was looking for. I’m looking at buying a 2012/13 MK II Octavia VRS TFSI, manual transmission, (approx 40-65k mileage) in the next few weeks/months if I can find a good example become available. I am trying to find out if there are any faults/major parts common to this model that cause issues and should have been replaced that I need to be on the lookout for in the service history, I thought I had read something a while ago about timing chain needing replacing at certain mileage? but I’m not overly familiar with SKODAs. Thanks in advance for any help/info. Stu
