  1. Having had a Superb 3 SLE Estate and a Superb 3 SLE Saloon car I can say that both the boots are vast. The only difference is as you have said, the vertical height at the rear of the vehicle. I have only had one occasion since moving from the Estate to the Saloon when I wished I still had the extra height and that was for an exceptional load. If I get another Superb it will be another Saloon and not an Estate. Unless you are going to be using the extra load carrying capacity frequently I would say just go for the Saloon.
  2. Take it in any case. If they don't fit you can always sell them on ebay.
  3. I have this bumper protector and found it to be a good fit. It comes in a selection of styles which can be found when you click on the one you want and scroll down to Options RGM Rearguards | Carnoisseur
  4. My previous Superb SEL Executive had the Columbus as standard. My new Superb SEL does not. The Columbus has a built in Hard drive for storage of maps, movies, music etc. It can also play movies. It can play CD's and DVD's. The Hard drive has two slots for SD cards. I would say that none of the above are "must have" items and I could not possibly justify the additional cost to have them
  5. Why not ask the person who is selling it why its cheaper than other vehicles of that age. If you have any concerns just walk away otherwise you will for ever be worrying about what is wrong with it and expecting something to happen.
  6. It may be that he has piggy backed off the rear wiper fuse for the power supply and the piggy back fuse holder is either faulty or not fitted correctly. If I remember correctly it is fuse No 39.
  7. If there is any doubt why don't you email or phone Skoda Customer Services and ask them directly what is recommended.
  8. Have a look at this link https://www.whitedovegroup.co.uk/skoda/offers/cambelt-change/3010/offerdetail.aspx#:~:text=Reviews-,Cambelt Change, could cause a costly repair. ŠKODA UK recommends that all timing belts are replaced at 4 year intervals. If your car has not had its timing belt replaced at the correct interval this could cause a costly repair. A cambelt failure causes major internal damage to your engine requiring the cylinder head to be removed and bent valves replaced. The cost of a cambelt replacement is £429.00 Inc VAT. We've also got an excellent offer on Cambelt + Waterpump of £529 inc VAT.
  9. I complained about the state of the rear brake discs on my Superb which had only done 18,000 miles and the Main Dealer service manager replied in writing "I can confirm that there is some, if not considerable signs of scoring on the brake disc surface. This is the result of corrosion on the disc however this is not adversely affecting the overall performance of the brake discs and as brakes are subject to wear and tear in the nature of their operation again we are unable to replace these under the Manufacturer’s Warranty". This was despite their own mechanic stating there was plenty life on the brake pads and are showing little sign of wear. The Service Manager refused to elaborate on how a scored, corroded brake disc does not adversely affect overall performance in comparison to a brake disc that is not scored and corroded. The rear discs are obviously made of poor quality steel. I should add that the Service Manager is an abbreviated Richard or in other words, a ****!
  10. Depending on where you live you may find that your local Skoda dealer is doing repairs on vehicles that are used by NHS staff and other key workers. If you either check on your dealers website or give them a call they may be able to assist.
  11. I very much doubt that Skoda can hold any person who is no longer in lease to the terms they have stated. It is Skoda's responsibility to uplift the vehicle at the end of the lease. It is their problem if they can not do that. The leasee is under no obligation to do any of the things Skoda are asking them to do... unless of course they want to enter into a storage contract with the leasee and pay them accordingly.
  12. Thanks for that update. It is not to allow the ex- leaser to leave it on the road who has absolutely no part in its upkeep etc after the lease expires, it is to allow VW Finance to leave it on the road. I would take as many photographs/video as possible recording any marks/damage etc and more importantly that there are no marks or damage then I would park it well away from my property so that it is absolutely clear to anybody that I am not responsible for it. Do VW Finance expect you to hold onto the keys or leave them in the vehicle or post them to VW Finance.
  13. Tell them you will be parking it on the road and reporting it to DVLA and the Police for being an uninsured and untaxed vehicle if the are not happy letting you use it at no cost. DVLA will happily uplift it and crush it for them!
