Nothing in particular to be honest, I suppose when I was quoted 3 hours labour for fitting from a specialist I suppose I’d wished I’d gone down that route now.

I did back in July, put a couple of pics up on thread: What have you done to your Superb today page 54. And as I said then I’d never attempt it again. I followed the Golf R videos on YouTube and it was the same. Thankfully my Forge intercooler didn’t need any trimming but a full 8 hours later it was finally finished and one job I’d not attempt on my own ever again.

Hi, yes as mentioned at the very end of my original post I've made sure the boxes are ticked, its really strange as the wiper works fine if using the stalk.

It was a genuine camera that was fitted by an aftermarket fitter who’s done hundreds of aftermarket work on the whole VW/Seat/Skoda range. As I say it may must be coincidental but wanted to confirm with others who have a camera fitted that the rear wiper and near side mirror still operate

It’s been a month since I had my reverse camera retro fitted, but I’ve only just realised my rear wiper used to sweep when reverse was selected and now doesn’t. Also the near side wing mirror used to adjust down at the same time when selecting reverse and now doesn’t either. I’ve spoken to the guy who fitted the camera and he’s said it’s nothing to do with the fitting of the camera and must be coincidence that it’s since stopped working as he said the camera is coded in 5F module, the mirrors and wiper in BCM. I have no idea what this means but anybody else who’s got the camera confirm their wiper still sweeps when selecting reverse and near side mirror adjusts down at the same time ? BTW I’ve selected the icon on the infotainment system, Option is ticked to say this is selected. thanks

I don’t think it’s a matter of trust with the eBay seller, they’re larkspeed performance and I have no trouble trusting them. It’s that they are using the information supplied to them by the manufacturer and after a discussion earlier today with EBC’s technical department it is the manufacturer who’s incorrect listing for our model car has at least now been highlighted and they’ve told me they will change their catalogue for the correct part number Being GD1416 vented 310mm rear discs.

Thanks I will, I’ve also checked EBC website and as you say they’re listing what the retailer is advertising but it’s clearly incorrect.

Anyway seller replied their was a 2-4 week delay in delivery which was fine as I’m in no rush it was just a case of waiting. Anyway 3 weeks have passed and I’ve not heard anything so back onto them for an update and it’s at this point I actually read the full description. Now I suppose I should have read it at the time of ordering but anyway I hold my hands up , I didn’t. It states these discs are solid 300mm discs but mine are definitely vented discs on the rear and from what I’ve always presumed just as the fronts the same as the VW Golf R. I messaged the seller And explained I thought the listing was incorrect and gave my Full registration for them to check. They have come back to me stating the listing for solid rear discs part number GD1977 according to their catalogue are the correct listing for the Superb 280 and my registration and are solid discs. I’m not losing the plot I’ve been out to my car and my rear discs are definitely vented and I’m just concerned waiting a month and then the wrong ones are sent I’m not going to be best pleased. has anyone updated their rear discs on their 280/272 and can confirm I’m right in thinking they’re identical to the VW Golf R and the ones EBC list for our model is incorrect? thanks.

I can confirm the camera is high line, the installer did mention a washer spray but Im not entirely sure how this works. My Superb is a hatchback and I have no idea if any pictures were taken of the wiring/installation I’m afraid. As I’m local I literally dropped the car off and went to a friends and waited for a call to say it was completed. Their is a waiting area if you’d prefer to stay but it’s an industrial area so not a lot to do but you could catch a taxi into town. To be honest 2 hours isn’t that long to wait in my opinion but then again I didn’t.

Busy week this week, car has been in the workshop again today for some more work....theirs numerous threads regards retrofit of the rear view camera but i wasn't confident enough to buy the kit and give it a go myself like some have so i took it to a local guy and in under 2 hours i was on my way home and another box ticked

Not currently as I’m more than happy with just how it feels without personally needing to know times. I don’t know of one I can borrow but maybe a Black Friday bargain If they’re available and we’ll see then.
