  1. I did manage to do this. You require the drivers door loom and the control module and switch. You just straight swap that over. You may need to code it but mine worked straight away. The rear is a little more difficult as I swapped over the mechanism and the control unit as I think they are extended for the winder handles. The loom needs a power supply so you need to tap into your fuse box so plug in your connector and run the cables to correct pin for the door connector. The earth points are in the b pillar buy the belt anchor point. You need the canbus high and low for the controller so tap into your canbus cables but make sure you get them the correct way round for the pins in the door connector. My donor car was a hatchback but my car was an estate so the door car tops had to be swapped so I didn't have a hole but if you get the correct door cards you can skip this step. It was an Easy weekend job make sure you have the wiring connectors makes it alot easier to swap unless you want to make up a small loom. But I had the donor car so just pulled everything out and cut and made fit what I needed

  2. Hi guys have been doing some research with no luck on here.

    Long story short. The car is a 2007 octavia vrs tfsi stage one map precat delete ram air cone filter 50mm lowered on coilovers. Thursday last week car drove perfectly fine. Friday morning got in it to go to work bit of a bouncy idle with a bit of a misfire on cylinder 2. Check spark plug ok put the old one in no different swapped for the original on still the same. Sitting around 750. Going to try the throttle body reset tomorrow. noticed today when in traffic. When I had my foot on the brake the car would bouncy at idle like being on a trampoline. Take my foot off it would stop? So confused. Just want my car to idle properly 😪.  Checked vac lines to brake booster no cracks apparent.

    Hoping for some help. My cruise control has been a bit tempremental since changing the clutch pedal master cylinder. I could live with that not to bad.

     

    Today i was driving to work had the cruise control on at 50 it went off and the esp light has come on.

     

    I know i havd worn wheel bearings at the rear would this cause the cruise control to switch off of they deviate from the front speed sensors. 

     

    This has made me think its a mechanical problem rather than electrical. Plus dont really want to pull all the wiring apart

  4. Hi guys I have finished a a full engine rebuild and been enjoying the car but now want to give the old girl some more punch with more boost. I looked up the spec for a k03 and 0.6 bar 8 psi is the max flow. So remap doesn't seem worth doing just yet as I I have a new hpfp new belts and a full rebuilt head and an uprated diverter valve. So putting a new turbo on seems ok and I have the standard injectors so remap then allows the for the turbo being able to boost without being strained.

     

    I no there are kits but looking at them I have most of the parts apart from the injectors everything else I have fitted or the car already has like the intercooler precat removal. If anyone can help that would be great

  5. what mine feels like it looses power and someone suck the abs on for a bit. I can slightly feel it in 3rd but definitely in 4 5 6. you can see the rev counter slow down slightly and I here the whistle through the cone filter drop off a little then once past 25k she runs sweet.  being a misfire I would it expect it to be all over the show and more intermittent than always 15k to 25k

  6. Just starting modifications to my 2007 vrs octavia estate. First was a respray of the silver wheels to graphite grey as the silver was light against the black. I also resprayed the grill surround and silver part on the engine cover and gloss blacked the main body of the cover. first physical mod was a cone filter to give the engine bay a bit of bling and a tidy up. second mod was an upgrade on the radio as the stream lacked features I got a custron unit from eBay. I think for the money it was good value for money. reads all canbus for car data and battery camera input for reverse camera which was fitted last night along with some rca leads for amp going in which now has a colour coded subwoofer black and graphite grey. wheel spacers have been fitter 20mm at the rear and 15mm at the front. amp and sub are going in over the next few days have a short shift kit and a bov on order waiting to go in so looking forward the the mail coming for parts
