  1. Cheers for that it's good to know, I'm buying with a loan so warranty etc I'm a little scared about, hopfully it won't be an issue. But I never realised if you pay only a £1 with a credit card you get extra protection, which I never realised you could do. (100.00 to 30k)
  2. Maybe tbh, just not my ting. Here's the car. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202208259139602?atmobcid=soc3
  3. You literally have my dream car there haha, 👌. Can't find any estates in my budget sucks :(. just booked a test drive for this one. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202211101540828?atmobcid=soc3🤞 I'm abit worried that I won't quite get the estate on the driveway haha it's only 5m long.
  4. This was the mechanical bit I was trying to get more info on tbh. Sounds like a big deal? I do like the face lift model. Got a few more viewings comming up :), im going to be broke for Christmas, although I have been good this year. As for the DSG, I fancy the manual :). I think my silver issue is because I see it as like a standard colour? Maybe. My favourite is the racing blue, but I guess that's pretty standard haha. cheers for all the help everyone! Much love!. there's also some golf gti in my price range, but much prefer the octy though, the things I could do with that bootay.!
  5. In that I could feel it as I walked around the car to leave, put my hand on the bonnet and seemed hot to touch.
  6. It drove well tbh but first time driving one. I went to see a 17 plate golf GTi but it had been sold on arrival and was on stilts, having the wheels done. gave the octy some wellie responded well, gear box felt a little rough tbh especially 4th. Didn't feel like it should for a 19 car. No satnav not a deal breaker but the colour is horrendous, that silver. Very cheap though and the body work does look good and alloys. The problem is I drove there In my gf citron c1, so it the contrast would sell anyone lol. He said 1600 for the Fabia, he said if you can get it here he doesn't care. ( Straight to auction). Edit * engine seemed hot after 20 mins of driving* is that normal?
  7. So far, it's pretty horrendous lol no service history, 30k in 1 year. Bonnet didn't even close haha, he's had to take it round back to the mechanic. He said they do a service for me if I brought it. Serviced at 29k, brake fluid and inspection, which I think is correct. Seems ok inside looks clean.
  8. Cheers, for once I'm in no rush, just got to contain my excitement. I'm expecting disappointment anyway as it's 2019 245, with 62k, for 15600. But in metallic grey ew. There must be something up.
  9. Just double check are you saying I should avoid any extended warranties?
  10. Cheers for all advice, Ill give it my all! I've been driving a Skoda Fabia monte Carlo for 7 years so there not going to have to say much to sell me tbh lol 😂
  11. Thank you so much for taking the time to send that!. Too sound like a noob, what does the VAQ stand for? ☺️
  12. I'm off to test drive one today, it's from one of those quick sale places ike motorworld, so we'll see, the price is low so I'll find out why haha.
  13. Yeah that's true, was just looking to get more info, haven't seen too much deep info really that's all, I think 245 model is mechanically different in some ways and there seems to be more of them lacking features on the market.
  14. Been reading the forums really, I can't see too many complaints so that fills me with confidence. Faiths abit shaken really.
  15. I've been looking at the 2019 245 version, but it seems like there abit ropey? Can anyone confirm? :(. I don't want to go down this road again after what's happened with my Skoda Fabia monte Carlo 11. Plus were talking 20k here. cheers.
  16. If your after a fixer upper, I'm looking to sell my very much loved monte Carlo 11, after the EGR died, needs a bit of work. injector 3 showing some signs, EGR needs replacing, apparently the ecu housing is loose. I'd like 1k for it, but any offers are welcome. -not software updated. -mainly motorway miles ( last 3 years been mixed). -105bhp. -some wear and tear. -110k. -needs a new EGR. - just had cambelt and water pump done. - full service history. Message if you want more info
  17. I've pretty much seen when one goes they generally follow. Frustrating, it's going to be scraped not going to spend thousands on a car worth just over 2k, looking at a 17 golf GTi now lol. The 2 year warranty was swinging me on 5here approved. Over the 1 year for Skoda.
  18. so its had the car Diag tested and its all gone to crud. One injector is misfiring. which I know lead to more f'ing up. ECU housing is apparently loose or something. EGR is gone - looking like its the COG mech. 800 just to start without parts. Injectors need to be sent off will take a week. luckily im at the point where its cost me 65 quid. but Should I just scrap her now?
  19. Injectors are my next worry, cars are so expensive right now it's hard to find something decent for the money. I'm going to return the part so that should be all dandy.
  20. I'm also in the south east, dartford area. The garage is dynes the chain, So that probably doesn't help. I'll be honest I was going to call around and get more quotes etc but I'm just abit defeated Tbh. They've said they'll contact me about the brand there going to use but it'll be a middle high / high OEM. Bosch was mentioned, but I'm not a fan of Bosch tbh. The one I have is Hella.
  21. Just an update they said no to installing the part. So its going in Wednesday. Hopefully she lasts a couple more years. 🙈
  22. I've bite the bullet and brought the hella for 160, dynes auto were saying the part was 300, worse comes to worst I'll take it back.
  23. GFS has a sale on 'fire56' it's 120 quid off. So I was tempted. Only thing is would a garage fit it for me if I presented it haha
  24. Cheers for looking. I would always prefer the vag unit, but for 1.5k that ain't happening haha. Is there anything wrong with OEMs? Any brands to avoid?. I can get a Hella unit with cooler for 160 currently. Half tempted to buy it. Cheers for the help and knowledge share!
