Stock spec, 220 bhp 66 Really liked the car a little bit better in terms of size for me. Seemed a little quieter. I'm still looking for a Octavia with my dream spec in racing blue though haha. But if I find a golf with a pano roof I think I'm sold.

Hey guys, I've been trying to get information on roadmaps from tfl for ulez, but it's been like drawing blood from a stone. So far I've asked the council, mayor's office and Tfl. I've been on twitter and trying getting info publicly. I'm trying to find out what happeneds when Euro7 comes in, or what happeneds in 5 years with the CO2 per gram be reduced?. Making a new purchase as my Fabia isn't ulez and hard to plan. Anyone on the inside and knows what's going on? Cheers

Interesting on this point is it worth going for the GPF, in terms of things like ULez. I was trying to get a 5/10 yr road map of tfl but there's stone walling me. I'm worried their going to turn up the CO2 per gram in 5 years or something. And I'll be f'd.

Hmm I was under the impression all 2019 had GPF, would be interesting if there was difference in the mid year change. Seems like Skoda playing catch up to regs. you should be able to see it under the car I believe, towards the engine, has a heat shield around it.

Cheers that's good to know, it did it feel very similar to my dad's transporter t6 dsg, it's like it waits to late to shift. Dunno just how I felt anyway. Im going to be booking alot more so I'll get a feel for them. Also Going to book some GTi mk7 in aswell.

Hey guys I'm going to give my opinion so far on the different cars, this means buggar all but it'll help me remember when I look back. Yesterday I Drove a 2017, 22k. 230ps dsg octy with DCC, heated seats and cruise. £19500. Overall liked it but I think overpriced maybe. I preferred the drive of the 245 2019 (standard) (£15800) I think because it was manual, but that gear box was abit rough in 4th with 60k miles and only part service history ( felt unloved). Nasty colour. The dsg It's so easy to drive which I loved, But I hate the lag? It was revving really high and it felt abit slow to shift, this improved in sport. Feels abit strange the modes but I guess that's the future? I was trying all the different modes I found sport obviously more responsive and most enjoyable, but I noticed the petrol went super fast. Was interesting, there's not much difference between the interiors 17/19 not much that I can remember distinctly and the fake engine noise I get it but it sounded like a different engine? Grumbly? It's made me consider that tbh maybe the 245 VAQ isn't as big of a deal? But out of the two I enjoyed the 2019 VAQ model more its just alot more pricey maybe 3/4k for my dream version. This all could be cognitive bias. I Didn't try the semi auto as I was a pussy lol.

Yeah of course! I'm just asking for experiences, everyone's is different but it gives me a flavour. It's great question actually which year of vrs has been the most reliable? I like the sound of 14 to 17.

There does seem to be an in-between point. I'm not quite sure the years I noticed 2019 seem to have it mentioned alot while the 2018s don't. Can they just make one car please lol 🤣

The thing is I'm not sure that Skoda care about the scandal too me I worry this is technology problem and Skoda/vw are doing panicked quick fixes to hit regs. I am generally less worried about a gpf, but still worried lol.

Cheers, yeah I saw this I was abit worried. My past experiences with Skoda dpfs have not been great so when I hear petrol gpf, my backs up, again. I'm in the ulez zone so I need to future proof myself, but I don't want to bankrupt myself.

I guess I meant the VAQ is mechanical right, and is on 24/7 where as the XDS is software? Too me it seems like a real solid improvement in engineering. But It seems by everyone reactions it's really not that important for the average fast driver haha

Oh wow, it's a seat though 😞 haha, I love the cupra just I hate the inside. I'll have a look though. It's super hard to find any 245 with the winter pack, but it makes sense. It's also incredibly hard to find PFL 230s with winter pack haha. Cheers ill take a look at the seat maybe there's a cheeky estate. On the boot I do need it for pooch. But not essential.

Thanks for that you legend! Is the VAQ worth the extra over the previous? I might be priced out 😞 got a max for 18k:( Btw that pre fl 230 black vrs and fl 245 thing is super confusing by Skoda. Why did they not use it on the fl 230 standard? Weird.

quick question: is it the 2017 245 version with the VAQ? Do all the other have the Electronic Slip dif or are they all same? im not sure if they changed it on the new 2017 shape. Hmmm. I can only find heated seats on the 230 versions and wanted to know if they had different difs. 😞
