Sorry Off the Topic since it is a manual.
Have you experienced an issue with a 2.0 TDI and using a Tuning box with one with a DSG?
I have and there was no issues and no need for there to be.
Not a TDI, but yes on newer petrol models i have (the new 190PS) , id rather not talk publicly about it

Good luck with your tuning then and i will step back

Manual or DSG? If its DSG i wouldnt bother using one of these boxes, the DSG will see more torque than expected and start messing up the power delivery

With the new nextbase cameras, the rear needs to be plugged into the front camera. So I assume there are side airbags in the pillars that you need to be careful with?
Take the rear camera cable down low level along passenger side sill plastics, under the edge of the sill behind the passenger seatbelt mount on the rear, then you dont need to go high level near airbags.

If you go for a more professional dashcam than a halfords one, you can get the OBD cables that use the parking mode and switched live, and dont turn on/off all the time when the engine stop/starts in traffic as they have a device that keeps them running for a few minutes after power off of igniton..

Honestly i would ebay the nextbase and get a thinkware type device which sits flush on the window both front and rear.

I would avoid the 1.8 tsi, heres my example:
started at 40k miles, got worse over 3 years, 1 litre of oil ended up lasting 100 miles when used on motorways.
1. Oil spitting out of exhaust on a cold start.
2. took out the plugs and found cylinders 1 and 4 foiled in oil, 2 and 3 were nice and dry and clean.

I would check that the suspension arm sensors and tilt sensors have no errors, i had this on an older DSG and it was related to the DSG changing incorrectly on hills. It was an intemittent signal from one sensor causing the car to not know the front/rear suspension angles correctly.

You will not find a set of retrofit LEDs that have a good beam pattern, your only hope is to go for ones which have measurements exactly the same as a halogen bulb, they mount so that the LEDs point sideways also not up/down, i wouldnt waste your money.

The factory bridgestones are rubbish, cant wait to get rid of them.

Yeah the fault code will not go away until they set basic settings levels for the top and bottom alignment in module 4b, then the error will go away and the fault code will be clearable.
-
If you get a long handled screwdriver to your ear, place it on the fuel pump on the side of the engine block, so you hear the throbbling rattle there? is the engine tray hitting anything solid? Sounds like a resonant rattle not a mechanical one
-
That headlamp range control error is resolvable by doing a basic setting on the high/low levels, i had the same error when i enabled traffic sign assist and auto high beam using VCDS, took me a while to figure out why, they went up/down absolutely fine, but the error remained on the dashboard.
The right dipped beam might be a lack of comms to the Right side LED module, i saw that too and it logs an error in the 4b controller on the car (replacement for BCM in older cars).
If you weren't in cornwall i would offer to assist.

Have you tried to reset the DSG adaptions? One way is using VCDS, but the quick way:
Open car with key
Put foot fully down on accelerator pedal
turn ignition key to ignition on (not engine start)
leave ignition on for 15 seconds
turn key off (keeping foot on pedal)
remove foot from accelerator pedal
Then start the car as normal and go for a drive in D, this can reset the self-learn behaviour on the DSG of that age, and it may just pull away/creep better and not slip the clutches as much to pull away.

£9K
That's exactly what I did at the time when the extra £1000 PCP offer was on, but even taking that in to account, neither DTD or CarWow were reporting anywhere near £9k off list.
List for my Edition was £30430 and the discount at the time worked out a fraction under £6000. It was a similar % discount on all the models I looked at (including the Sportline ). The current discount is approx £5300 off list on my spec of Edition ( because the £1000 extra PCP incentive has finished ).
How long ago was it they offering a discount of £9k?
Sorry for the delay
We got 2k Finance Contribution, and 6k off the car, i got the figure wrong sorry (so 8 total), we found out that you get the discounts on the addons with services like DTD and CarWow, so we ended up loading it with the Virtual cockpit and lane/park assist etc.
The offer was just before the previous March 31st Brexit deadline, and Skoda put their prices up shortly afterwards

Wont the component protection get in the way here? you cant just mixmatch the modules with the 2019 or later cars, they will lock the module out as it will be matched to VINs
-
Use carwow/DriveTheDeal and save yourself some money on a brand new one. We saved 9k on our Karoq Sportline

We are shocked to discover our 7 year old Yeti requires a new engine costing £4K. I’ve read about the Skoda Octavia having engine problems with some reference that the Yeti could have the same. We were so impressed with the motor trade reviews when the Yeti was launched that we bought it new, in good faith, at a cost of around £27k. It has been serviced regularly and only has 90k on the clock. I see that some owners have challenged Skoda about this failure and cost of repair and would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you in advance
Do you know how it has failed? I know it rattled but have they confirmed the timing chain gave way,. or it ran out of oil? peoples replies to this post have been guessing at the actual fault with your engine, a repair job of 1-1.5k sounds low to me, and taking the engine out and replacing it with a second hand unit is just poor advice also, if you take into account any items that should be replaced whilst the engine is out/apart (i.e. you would probably do clutch at the same time).
We were in exactly the same situation and walked away as soon as i knew it needed taking apart because of the risk of things going in the future. If you do repair your existing engine, you would want to budget for preventative items to be fitted also, i.e. oil pump in the sump, water pump, full chain, tensioner and gasket set (all genuine not eurocarparts rubbish), the costs will mount up with labour

Does anybody know if you can enable Adaptive Cruise control without the steering wheel buttons? I have a sportline karoq 2019 with lane assist camera and radar, and want TSR and Adaptive Cruise enabled
Thanks

Another tip, start it from cold with a helper holding a piece of plain white paper to the exhaust, the exhaust will have oil in it if the rings are going and it will spit when started.

Walk away, we sold ours after its oil consumption started increasing hugely, we tried everything but in the end, turned out to be the piston rings, pouring in some oil thickner like wynns held it for a short while so we got rid. 0.5L > 1L every 100 miles in the end.
The engine code the Yeti has for the 1.8 TSi is the worst of the bunch in terms of the model affected, the audi code CDAA.
If you were to want to buy it, personally, i would ask for a 1 day loan, check the oil level when cold, then go and drive it 500 miles somewhere on the motorways with some revs, then let it cool and re-check the level. Very likely it will need a clutch at that mileage also and the turbo dependent on its life. If they wont let you do that, i would walk. -
You shouldnt be affected like the older TSi engines, as the newer TSI's have an injector upstream of the cylinders to reduce carbon buildup, so the direct injection is aided by injectors further upstream.
-
Are you sure it isnt the throttle body moving once the ignitions been switched off?
-
And also, you will have a button blank where the park assist would have been, and i cant stand having a model with buttons blanked off/packs missing!

evans halshaw buy lots of tat from small traders and then put on their forecourts.
I should know, theyve sought two of my ****ters in the past and sold them as warrantied cars.
