  1. Hi all, I got a new Kodiaq Sportline on the 31st July and then went on holiday the week after. While I was away my father-in-law moved the car and nudged the lights on which then flattened the battery. He called the AA who put some charge back into it. The only adverse affect noticed from this was that there is now an 'airbag error' shown on the dashboard but nothing called out on the info screen in the vehicle section. I had read that the airbag functionality needs a decent charge on the battery but the light has now been there for about a week after it has been driven 50-60 miles. Any thoughts on remedying this? In the first place it would be good to try and reset the light and see if it then reappears. Other than that I guess it is a case of heading down to the dealer to get them to check it under warranty?
  2. You can get cables which plug into the OBD2 socket in your car. They supploy power continuously and automatically power down when it gets close to running your battery down. I have one in my current Kodiaq and it has worked well and protected the battery.
  3. Thanks, that does make sense. It is through a Skoda dealer on a PCH deal so I guess it is more about allocation for the supplying company instead of just the building of similar cars being wildly different.
  4. Thanks both. So as an example the Feb 2022 brochure for the UK Kodiaq (https://autocatalogarchive.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Skoda-Kodiaq-2022-UK.pdf) has the Virtual Cockpit as a paid option on the Sportline but the June 2023 brochure has it on the SE L Executive and above (see first post in this thread). That is the sort of change of spec I was talking about.
  5. Quick question, so the brochure was published in April but took effect from the 1st June. Do the adjusted specs mentioned in the new brochure only start appearing for cars built after the 1st June only or cars being delivered from the 1st June onwards? Or could these news specs have started hitting the market anytime after April? *scratches head*
  6. I'm a bit surprised about some of these order times. I ordered at 2.0TSI Sportline DSG in Feb and it has already been built and at Emden for the trip over for delivery before the end of the month. It was a custom build with some options. Why is there such a range of delivery times?
  7. I have the 2.0 TSI and have just switched to a DSG from a manual Octavia. I would never have considered it previously but was bored with constant gear changes when driving about town. It is nice to be able to just cruise smoothly without having to worry about it. Modern DSGs are so much less laggy than old ones. The suggestion is that fuel economy with a double clutch DSG is now very similar to a manual gear boxes too.
  8. The spare wheel is a judgement call as you lose a chunk of the underfloor boot space which I have already found useful since owning the car. I had an Octavia before this and the higher floor level of the boot does make it feel like there is less boot space height-wise than in the Octavia. The one thing I would totally reccommend getting is the High Beam Assist. Not expensive to add but is a really nice feature when driving on dark nights. It is surprisingly good at knowing when to dip the full beam lights and when not to. I had that on the Octavia and was surprised that it wasn't on the SEL Kodiaq. One of a few reasons why I pushed up to the Edition trim level which now no longer exists.
  9. Hi Fairgame Sorry, missed this last week. I ended up using the guide in the link below which uses the 5 EURO functionality in the POIbase program. Follow the instructions and you should be well away. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=164455
  10. Adding a couple of quick photos taken while away last week. Loving the car so far. Such a well rounded package. Petrol Blue is a great colour. It looks quite different in different lights.
  11. RRG Skoda in Rochdale have supplied our last 2 Skodas and have been good.
  12. New Kodiaq owner reporting for duty! On Monday I took delivery of a shiny new Kodiaq Edition 2.0 TSI in beautiful Petrol Blue (although I do still miss the Race Blue I had on the Octavia I have just got rid of. I love that colour but wanted a change this time). No extras to speak of as it was one of the very last 2.0 TSI Editions to enter the country a few weeks ago I believe. Stock will be running pretty low at the dealerships, especially as I don't think they made/sold many of them with the bigger engine. I gave the car a proper wash today and had to open the rear doors to be able to reach the middle of that high level roof. That is a first for me! I'm away next week and will aim to get a nice photo to accompany this intro. I'm looking forward to getting the car out onto the twisty roads of Northumberland.
  13. Thanks... Definitely worth knowing. I only added the POIs yesterday and I haven’t ventured out near speed cameras since. So you feel you are too close to be able to take any action?
  14. All sorted now, thanks. Went with PocketGPSworld and POIbase.
