  1. I will push the issues onto the dealer. Naturally im disappointed as this was a step up to the brands premium model. Can i ask what dsg owners define as smooth? We all have differing perceptions but even my other half notices the jerky shifts and somtimes changes gear then hesitates for some reason. And she is not into cars at all. Second skoda now second with potential issues from new. Great car to drive and nice place to sit but gearbox is a let down and a £35k car should not creak so much already.
  2. Thanks for the info. I didnt particulary go over every detail with a fine tooth comb as i sort of expected some inherent quality rise over my previous octavia elegance. Its sad to say for a 10k price rise given i have a lot more tech and comfort in the car the quality has not increased in my opinion. The dsg only really shoves when shifting from 1st to 2nd almost like im totally off the throttle then the gas is applied, as said prior nothing like the 6 speed dsg that was in my octavia. The soft start doesn't appear to work like the diesel s/s. As said kicks in way to early to the point i was slowing to a mini roundabout turning left to give way and the s/s kicked in. I could not turn the steering wheel as i approached the give way due to s/s. Not impressed. Hoping the dealer can sort this out.
  3. I have a 66 plate sportline tsi with some 6000 miles covered so far. Great looking car but im concerned that build quality is 'lacking'. Main concern is the dsg. 1st to 2nd gear shifts are usually felt with a shove as shifts from 2nd to 3rd are usually felt hesitant then a slight shove as the gear engages. I ran a dsg (diesel) prior to this from new and was so smooth compared to the current. Any suggestions? Faulty? Damage? Re-programme required? Normal operation? Stop start kicks in before car has stopped which is downright dangerous. It appears to work more with pedal pressure and not vehicle motion. Rear brake discs never 'clean' up thus the working surface always has rust lines. They look like they are worn already. Again is this normal? Car has a sunroof. The interior control panel in the roof lining creaks more than a seized up wooden gate. Again is this normal? Centre armrest bins creak as above and appear to have been made by the same grade of plastic from airfix. Normal? So much for this being the companies luxury car and flagship. It will the visiting the dealer to get these resolved hopefully. Otherwise it looks an amazing car but looks are not enough.
