Had my Skoda octavia checked by an auto tech cos I was getting the same code turns out to be vacuum pump which after shopping around cost about £210 .....

Can anyone help... every now and then I get a fault code p2563 which is the turbo boot position sensor on my Skoda octavia 2012 but was wondering whether I could clean my sensor if I new where it was or do I take it to an auto elec who is probably gonna tell me I need a actuator which are common faults on the skodas the car runs ok most of the time but when the management light come on 3 times a day you know you have to sort it.....

There is no codes that’s what makes me think it’s on the fuel side.....!!

I’ve got a Skoda octavia mk2 just had an egr fitted and crank sensor but still got issues with it cutting out when I try to start it was wondering whether now it’s a fuel problem..... any ideas??

I had the same problem with my octavia mk2 tdi but came up with a p0061 code which is the crank sensor so I’ve changed the sensor which are about £23 all right for a couple of hours but started to go back to cutting out again when turned over so think now it’s a fuel problem......

Sorry Chris your right.... the one i ordered was a rtg which was the wrong one anyway needed a 4 pin cheapest Bosch was £58.... but didn’t need one as it was just a lambda sensor clean needed...

Surely it must be the maf sensor as I’m not getting any black smoke the car idles perfect no loss in power only using more fuel is the downside

Hi just got a p2196 code up says it the O2 sensor which commonly known as the MAF sensor... checked all pipes and wiring no issues gonna change the sensor see if that works.... any other ideas if no difference?

Does anybody know whether it’s ideal to get a maf sensor of eBay for my Skoda Octavia 2012 plate or go to euro parts for it . Its about £100 cheaper of eBay.... suggestions please....

Hi ive just had an EGR delete and remap on my Octavia mk2 the BHP has gone from 140 to 170 so the performance is better I suppose but getting a few carbon gas smells in the car now and then not all the time and the other night the car temperature went down slightly and the car went sluggish until I turned of the ignition and back on again then went alright... as I’m a taxi driver thought the remap might of been to much any ideas.... 2 liter engine by the way

Ive recently encountered my glow plug light on my dash on my Skoda Octavia 2012 and my odb scanner is coming up with the egr valve code... Ive had it all cleaned right down to the throttle body sensor but still getting the glow plug light on.... the car idles as it should but as soon as I pull off the light comes back on I can knock the light off and it stays off and the car runs fine until I turn the engine off.... my mechanic has noticed that two of my glow plugs looks defective could this be the case or am I just throwing more money away... advice please

Some help please as my radio light has gone out but still works but cant change station as it’s a touch screen is it a fuse or do I need the whole thing out for a bulb....

hi my Skoda Octavia management light keeps coming up with the pedal throttle sensor... can I have just the sensor replaced or does it have to be the whole pedal..? As the car still runs ok... no issues

Its from motor range all they keep doing is a regen and cleaning out the dpf....ill see how it goes from now just got it back Friday might get a week out of it fingers crossed....

so cos me service is due this could help me dpf function properly?

Recently bought a skoda Octavia 2012 and having trouble with the dpf filter. Been told to take it on the motorway every 2 days to regen it. Is this the only option as the car dealer has had it back to them 3 times now to sought out my problem. Any advice........
