  1. just chipping in, my 5 year old Kodiaq 37000 miles owned from new has just failed DSG. Extended warranty covering it all (although I think it won't go to warranty as skoda good will is paying for the part and most of the labour and I've got £250 excess on warranty) but the issue is getting the mechatronic unit- courtesy car booked for 4 weeks 'to tide me over' as a start! Trying to explain taking the family on holiday in their Fabia when we use a Kodiaq is pretty appalling on a £30k+ car. They are suitably chastised, especially as I was due to replace it next month and I'm saying I'm seriously considering not having another Skoda based on how well I'm being looked after. I'm after some compensation for my inconvenience on top of the the warranty paying for the repair. But I'm glad I've kept paying for warranty!
  2. Relieved to know this is a 'thing' my Kodiaq needed filling at 2000 miles the dealer said "might have not put enough in at manufacture- no signs of leak/ pressure tested fine. But it's just done it again at 18000 miles- again no signs of leak, no residues, no fail on pressure test- they said must have been air lock but expanding hoses makes more sense at this age. Hopefully it's not going to be more than a top up at services but not impressed- the Superb never put a foot wrong.
