  1. You can disable front assistant if it doesn’t give you much confidence (personally I never had it on previous cars and managed fine so don’t really care for it) there’s a button on the steering wheel which has this symbol
  2. Up to the facelift (68 plate) they all had pano roof as standard. in facelift it was changed to an optional extra with led lights being standard.
  3. Under the headlight switch there is a panel that unhinges from the bottom of the dashboard. That has fuses and a removal too inside.
  4. Were the parking sensors not working? 😅
  5. Doubt Škoda would cover on warranty as they will claim external factors have made it crack (same old story when you take rusting cars into dealer or stone chips etc) id be contacting your insurance company and getting details of their glass policy. I know on mine it is just £75 excess for replacement glass. Think of the pano roof as having another windscreen on the roof.
  6. OP has 16 inch wheels 😑
  7. 2.1 bar for 16 inch wheels and up to 3 passengers iirc. id be inclined to try the Dunlop’s on the front and see if grip improves. Either way it is going to be a fault with your current setup and not the car in general, these things are designed and tested
  8. Tyres may be fine tread wise but are the pressures okay and what is the brand of tyres? I’ve had some near misses due to budget tyres before.
  9. What’s the purpose of that? Ridiculous idea. I used to tilt my mk2’s seat bases forward to vacuum underneath. My 66 Polo was the same, none of these disposable clips. Also was heated rear seat ever an option?
  10. Can’t comment exactly on hill hold but some users have reported an Obd tool such as Carista will allow you to switch it on. Failing that you want a garage that has Vw’s diagnostic tool called VCDS to enable it. I’ve ordered the rubber mat for under the handbrake from skoda, they’ve had to get it from Czech Republic as out of stock in U.K. so is on back order. Part # is 6V0863301A 9B9 the genuine armrest is available from approx 150 From Horton skoda/the skoda shop and is easy to fit with 4 bolts. https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/collections/skoda-interior-styling/products/skoda-centre-armrest-fab3-6v0061123 Alternatively I have fitted the armster version which was £65 and very good quality. Hope that helps, any further queries shout up
  11. Use android auto instead?
  12. I have emailed a picture to the dealer and this was their response: So I have asked skoda UK for their thoughts.
  13. I’ve only had the car two weeks so no idea on history. Also the wear is at the 6 o clock position at bottom of wheel, not somewhere I would expect to see wear (usually 10+2).
  14. Has anybody successfully claimed on warranty for a steering wheel wear problem? Car only has 12,000 miles I wouldn’t expect this to be showing. have emailed the dealer and they say it is consistent with age and mileage, I disagree. thoughts? also it’s not dirt.
  15. Do you have a 12v tyre inflator? It might be worth doing them on your driveway (ie when cold to get an accurate measurement). If not I would recommend one as a good investment as they’ve got me out of trouble on numerous occasions and if you factor in that my local garage charges 50p for inflation, at £15/20 it’s more than paid for itself over the years. Do you have the 17 inch wheels? Despite being low profile they shouldn’t be that flat? if the grinding persists I would suggest getting a garage to take a look as it could be brakes or suspension related. Also check for damage around the outer rim of the wheel as this could have damaged the seal between it and the tyre.
  16. Depends on the distance to the garage really, if it’s a mile or two they wouldn’t have heated up by much. And if your wheels are grinding that suggests an air leak or some other serious problem. Even when my front left tyre was 19 psi (oops!) it looked visually fine and there was no untoward noises to let me know of a problem.
  17. Hmm I’m not sure then but I’d like to have it, the Fabia is full of hard, scratchy plastic so anything I can rubberise I’m going to! Plus I catching my finger as I lower the handbrake. ive asked my dealer if it’s possible to order the part.
  18. If the Tyre has lasted 35,000 miles and only just starting having trouble I’d say you’ve done very well for a budget, especially on the front.
  19. Does anybody know the part number for this bit? It seems to be missing on my colour edition and I’m thinking it would look better than the piece of hard plastic underneath. I did search eBay and google without positive result. Cheers
  20. You mean SD card not sim. the maps are loaded onto the sd card and inserted into the system, it has nothing to do with your mobile phone. It’s just storage.
