Just started mine, I am going down the inlet off route as ir badly needs a clean out, also removing the alard egr delete and refitting a new egr valve. Got all new gaskets etc ready...... Matt k123, how long it took u so far ? Thanks for the advice and differing routes. Matt.

Hi thanks for the advice and listing some of the tools too, not got any spline sockets ....... best I get some. I looked at the job and thought removing the inlet would give me room to bring the turbo up and out ..... Thanks again Matt.

Hi, looking for some pics, advice, know how on a turbo change I am planning on this weekend. Worked on lots of turbo car s ie rs turbos, cossies, 200sx, pulsar gtir etc but no tdi s or fabias etc. Thanks in advance Matt. Ie, Is it best/need be to remove the inlet manifold ? Etc etc .......

Hi all, as you may notice I registered on here a fair while ago and fancied a fabia vrs ever since. Just got rid of a 2001 golf gt tdi for the fab and not looked back. Fab is my wifes car, I have a Passat 130 tdi se So as u can see into our vag stuff. Car and us are found in Blackwood area, Black 05 plate fabia vrs. Thanks Matt and Laurie.

Drove a few fabs before this one and ours seems to go a fair bit better than the others which has made me curious, Also seems a bit more black smoke from the exhaust on boost or hard acceleration etc. I have a 130 Passat, the fabia is my wifes, so I know the norm for smoke etc and the fab is worse and has much lower miles 70 k The previous did not mention tuning box or remap etc And no recipt for either, but I swear its not Std..........

Hi all, new to vrs ownership but 4th vag 1.9 tdi powered car. Just bought a 05 plate fab and think it may have a tuning box or ebay special Power box, where too do I check / look for this please. Photos would be excellent. Thanks in advance Matt. [email protected]

yes thats the idea. I have read a lot of people using seat air intake pipe which filters work best ? i have always been into modifying cars but still want a nice car but better than std. ie dont want lots of nasty turbo lag either

Hi can anyone please tell me the best route to go with a std fab vrs but minimal side effects please. dont mind a good exhaust note of course nor induction kit etc if they work well but what works and works well and whats best to avoid. thanks inadvance. matt. put it another way then............... whats the first best 10 things to do with a std fab vrs..........
