Best bet is to use long coding for all mods as you have greater control over what is actually being changed.  The preloaded 'apps' on OBD11 have been known to change not just the required elements to perform the mod so when it comes to reverting you have no idea what has been touched.

To sort your problem I would suggest getting the pro upgrade to be able to perform these long codings (they are not as complicated as they sound).  The investigate on the interwebs to see if anyone has listed the changes performed by the battery status mod.  Then go into the app and revert all the changes to what they should be and try doing the mod correctly.

Thanks. I'm gonna get the pro version and long code it

  2. I have a mk3 octavia SE L and I was trying to turn on the battery state of charge mod with obdeleven so that I can see battery status when I keep the trip reset button down on speedo. It says it's turned on, but it actually dosent turn on because when you go back onto the mod, it says that it is turned off. It has used all my credits too lol by me trying to keep activating it. Does anyone know why it's doing this?

  3. So today I fitted my window switch. I took my door card off and did it according to the pictures. It was a fiddly job, but i got there in the end. I did manage to scratch the door card a bit, and one of the clips for the surround cracked. But its all fitted now and the switch is working. Once again, Thank you for the help and the pictures. I really do appreciate it!

You have to remove the switch to get at the torx if you want to remove the door card so i got that back to front sorry, its been a while since i took it off.

the torx for the door card removal is here...

red arrows are the clips for the surround which i found really tricky to remove without damaging them.... and green are the clips for the switch itself which just required a flat trim tool to pop out...

Thanks for that! Thats a really big help. I'm gonna do it tomorrow afternoon and I'll update you on how it goes.

yes the switch has to be removed before the torx is accessible to take the surround out, this should have stopped the easy removal of the surround, there are a few different ways to do it but the easiest ive found is to take the switch out of the back or the surround with the card off, just three clips using a plastic trim tool. If you have the surround out you may need to remove the door card to refit the whole unit, surround and switch

Oh right i see what you mean now. Thanks for that. I'm going to give it a go on the weekend when i have some time to spare. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated!

You need to take the door card off to do it correctly without any chance of breaking it. The switch has a surround which is also removable but will snap if you take it off without removing the door card. The switch sits inside the surround and has three clips which are accessible from the inside only. DONT force it or as mentioned it will snap. taking the door card off is easy. Ill take some pictures tonight

There seems to be a torx screw on the door card behind the door handle cover. But if the switch is in the door card, would i still be able to tighten that screw. Because i have been told that if the switch is in the door card already, and when i fit the door card back onto the car, i would not be able to tighten that screw....

    Thanks

  7. Hi, I have bought a mk3 skoda octavia and the rear window switch was faulty. So, I removed the old switch with the surrounding. I have bought a new one, but i am having difficulties in fitting it on now onto the door card. It seems like a really tight fit, and i just cannot get the surrounding of the switch to clip into the door card. Does anyone know how to fit one of these? Or has anyone done it before? Its the passengers side rear one which i am trying to do.

    Thanks

  8. Hi, one of my rear parking sensors have failed. My part number for my current sensor is 7H0919275C.

I have found one in the exact same colour as my current one on ebay but the part number is different. The part number for that sensor is 4B0919275E.

The sensors look exactly the same. However, the part number is different. Does anyone know if it will still fit and work on my car?

  9. Hi, i have a mk2 octavia hatchback elegance. The drivers side rear parking sensor is faulty. Its the one on the far right hand side of the bumper. Has anyone ever changed this? I want to know if it is easy to change without having to remove the bumper.

Would i be able to do it by getting under the car and removing the cover underneath and reaching up to it?

Or can it be done by removing the back light and the trim underneath it?

Any help would be appreciated. I dont really want to remove the whole bumper for it.

  10. I bought some BOSCH ones from euro car parts today. The front ones are great. But the BOSCH rear one didnt fit my car for some reason. I couldn't get it to fit on the wiper arm and push the clip into its place. I didn't want to force it and break it so I just took it back and returned it. It was the only one they had for an octavia. I might try a valeo one on the rear as Fin69 said.

  11. Hi, My mk2 octavia is in need of some new wiper blades.

The question is, which brand should I go for?

I want the aero flat type ones. My current ones are bosch.....

I have heard that some people have experienced problems with some wiper blade brands not clearing the rear screen properly.....

Which brand do skoda originally use theirself? Or do they make their own blades?

  12. Hi, My rear tyres are wearing on the inner edge. The passengers side is worse than the drivers side.

    Tyre size is: 225/45/17

What can this be down to? Do I need a 4 wheel alignment?

I had my front wheels aligned by national tyres over a month ago. I didn't notice they were wearing on the inside edge then.... maybe because they werent that bad that's why I didn't notice.....
