  1. They arrived yesterday (great service from Mike @ Listers), and I swapped them over today. Already they feel better (no wheelspin, although it’s not been wet today), ride is slightly better and the noise is definitely reduced.

We are honoured Chris - the famous CJRP that started the longest running Delivery Times thread in February!

 The benefit of being an over-excited car geek I suppose

Maybe I will end up doing the same as you with wheels and tyres.

Who knows, maybe Michelin will bring out the CrossClimates for the bigger wheels; there's got to be a lot of Range Rovers, F-Paces, etc. out there who would rather be running all season tyres.

  3. I have the same problem, these cold mornings where it’s close to zero or damp I seem to wheel spin out of most junctions! I’ve got the 19” wheels with Pirellis, but am in the process of swapping to 17” CrossClimate+ (see the Winter Tyres thread). It’s my first DSG, so maybe just takes getting used to - but I can’t think of a single time that I spun the wheels on my torquier (manual) Civic.

  4. Ordered the set from Listers as recommended, just waiting for them to be delivered from the warehouse. Also ordered a set of wheel bags from Superskoda, not realising they probably won't fit my 19" wheels (description says up to 18")

I just did something similar by buying a set of Triton 17" alloys and CrossClimate+ tyres and got a good price, about £300 less than my local dealer who supplied my car,  and service from Mike at Listers who can be contacted using this email:  [email protected]

Thanks for the info, out of interest which size wheels did you have originally? Any other advantages/disadvantages you noticed after changing?

The 215/60 R16 are listed by Skoda.

See my post above with link.

Cool, so I'd still need to check the offset, etc.?

  6. Thinking of buying a set of 16" Castors to put CrossClimate+ tyres on (not available for the 19" Craters); anyone know where's cheapest to order a full set from? I'm going to guess it won't be from the UK dealers

How do you get the build week numbers?  Is it just if you order from a Skoda dealer?

We have placed an order through a leasing company and havent received a BW.

I got mine from the Skoda live chat (bottom right of the page, http://www.skoda.co.uk/about-us/contact-us) - I didn't even have an order number and they were able to find me by name and address.

  8. Email the CEO; you won't get a response from them personally but they usually have an 'executive team' who handles things like this. In my experience with other companies, these teams are a lot better at getting things sorted than the normal CS reps.
