  1. I, too, needed a batter. Ended up get a Dash Cam, left it plugged in, and the 12 volt is always on, so run the battery. It never did recover. Anyway, 10-year-old battery. Replaced with an almost identical Varta. Made sure it was AGM too Old one new battery A7 Varta Silver Dynamic AGM 096 Start Stop Car Battery 12V 70Ah (570901076) (tayna.co.uk) The only difference I saw. Are negligible (in my opinion). 68Ah to 70Ah and CCA from 680A to 760A. I experienced a few errors, tyres/ ACC/ park pilot/Stop /Start. But after driving a few miles and restarting. All working fine. The Stop/Start finally kicked in. It's not worked for over a year. Spoke to a few garages. Who stated all they would do regarding the battery is update the serial number or date. So. it is worth paying £45) for this?
  2. Replacement from Ebay. Slightly narrower. The spring is different. Once fitted it failed to keep closed. May just have to glue it.
  3. Mine has also gone. So, it would appear to be poor quality. Car is 7 years old. I purchased a replacement for a left hand drive. Assumed it would fit. But too small. It attached but struggled to keep it closed.
  4. Great help on this forum guys. I ordered the same part 3V0827566 for my estate. 40 pounds on ebay. Fitted it today, 5 minute job. Slightly different to remove so have put in photos in case it helps others. I too used trim tools to lever out.
  5. @Steviedakota I'm guessing it is 3V0827566. But some ebay listings have that item as not compatible for my model.
  6. @SteviedakotaCould you confirm if this was for the Mk3 estate, or hatchback? Maybe one switch does all? And what was the OEM Part number from the Škoda dealer?
  7. You've now all got me interested in doing this repair myself. I've found on UK ebay a non camera version. Which mine is. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Part-Number-3V0827566-Tailgate-Handle-Switch-Boot-Lid-Lock-Release-Push-Button-/392882568006?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Is is easy to remove the handle. So I start from the inside or outside. Any hints or tips please.
  8. I too have this same issue. Was intermittent initially with the boot handle opening, but after 4 months has now a point where the key fob is the only way to open the boot. Quoted 250 to replace today as it's faulty.
  9. I too have this problem. Did you ever resolve it?
  10. I wanted to share my experience of the emissions warning light as reading these forums I could not find my issue. I have a late 2015 Superb Business 2.0, Always Skoda serviced. Currently, with 68k on the clock and only serviced last month. Driving to work I get the warning light appear. I pull over. Switch off, wait, restart, still there. So I continue my journey to work. Check these forums but none the wiser. On the way home the light stays on again. So a quick call to Skoda Winchester. They advise a check. £100 to diagnose, then additional charges. I also tried an independent who specialised in Skoda, Audi, VW and Seat. Their cost £25 diagnostics. So I drove there. 10 minutes later and the diagnostics identified one fault, and this was due to a fault with number 1 glow plug. Without bothering to check with a Skoda dealer, I trusted this small independent to carry out the work. Cost £87 and collected the next day. The advice I was given was, glow plugs can develop a fault at any time. There are 4 plugs, 3 are the same and cheaper to purchase, however one is the main glow plug that is more expensive to replace, due to higher purchase price.(luckily for me this one did not fail) So...68k and only one failed glow plug. I've had the car since 28k and that's my only fault out of warranty. Ran to work this morning and no engine warning lights on. So for me, problem fixed. Anyone else had glow plug faults? Was this a good price to fix? Should glow plugs fail at all?
