  2. Well my car is the 2.0tdi 16v diesel, but.... If you locate the bottom hose on radiator, & follow it along its path, you will come to T junction & there you will find the g83 fan sensor, took me 2 days to find & there in different places per engine but.. The common factor is its in the bottom hose. The g62 is easier to locate, again in the coolant hose right side below cylinder block, there both the same size & deal, ebay £6.90, but check it fits your vehicle
  3. The g83 sensor I believe just operates the cooling fan, the g62 effects the engine running, its usually found on the right of the cylinder head in the coolant pipe
  4. Just a point which may be useful, I had the same issue, found it was sticking calipers, replaced, & no more high fuel consumption, to test park the car on a slight grade, release handbrake & see if it rolls.
  5. On my car the g83 sensor is at the front behind the egr valve, just thought it may help.
