Got it towed home after I got the gear surround off. Got it home and it started and drove ok but now got to work out what to do now. I think I have a full scan off obd11 but need to find it

Nope didn't fix it now broke down again stuck in gear even AA man can't get it out of park

Daft I know but why would my brakes feel better after changing the battery?

Quick question the original battery was a varta but when I coded the new one the make was down as JCB and the type was fleece not agm?

I didn't have access to a battery tester so decided to errr on the side of caution and fit a new agm battery ( slightly higher CCA and higher overall ampage than to 10 year old one. I coded the new battery went for a quick drive to set steering and tire pressure warnings ect and checked the charging voltage using the obd11 app and it was charging at 13.4 not the 14.6 to 8 that the old battery was charging at. Fingers crossed it has done the trick will update if it gets me to work OK

On a side note the car has always suffered from the dsg gear selector micro switch fault ( dealer refused to replace under warranty when I brought it 7 years ago) could this be driving the tcm crazy?

Have got a new battery to try as the one fitted at moment is the oem one so it's coming up on 10 years old now

Stability control error came up again last night but no loss of drive this time but got a fault code lost communication with tcm

The voltage showing when running according to the obd11 app is around 14.4 volts

Had a very strange fault pop up on my 64 octavia 1.6d dsg Driving along normal after leaving home 5 minutes into the journey a stability control system error came up on the dash and the yellow warning light came on then I had no drive as if it had dropped into neutral then the message tyre monitoring no data. Pulled into a layby car still runs put it in park and it would not come back out of park. Turned it off and it refused to start giving a message put vehicle in park or neutral to start. Turned it off for 30 seconds and plugged obd11 in tried to start it and all started and getting all the gears. Checked the fault codes and had one for engine brakes gearbox ect 17 in total all saying same thing databus error. Any ideas what can cause this?

I will be honest we haven't ccs charged in months since we purchased the car last year as we charge at home. From memory I think it would CCS charge anywhere around 37 to 50 kw. But would need to get my wife to run it low and go to the local ccs charging point to check

our citigo iv has just been in for its service inspection at the main stealer 🤨 and the inspection report came back with high voltage battery charger faults but no other information such as fault codes. they wanted £115 per hour just to investigate. i was wondering if anyone else had experienced this issue and knew what the fault was as the car charges perfectly well on a home granny charger and public CCS chargers ?

Has anyone retro fitted a reversing camera to a 2020 citigo. I have found the part on car systems EU but it states does not fit certain head units. So I am assuming my head unit is compatible but would appreciate any information such as pin outs ect?

Sorry to bring up a old thread but could you not add footwell lights that are powered from the ambient lights that light the dash trim on a 2020 citigo?

still cant get the skoda connect app to work even been to the dealer and they cant get it to work. the thoughs are that the sim card has been removed at some point where are they located and cani get a replacement 2020 citogo ev sel ?

The car is telling me it needs my skoda essentials but I am having a nightmare trying to get it to connect. It keeps asking for milage then to drive 3 miles and put in the new milage then it says unsuccessful

Not sure if it's a sign of up coming problems but as i thought the drivers door had not locked. I tried lubricant in the mechanism and took the lock cover off to access the key slot this was a little stiff to turn but did move and now the door locks as it should

Got home from work early hours of morning ( below freezing temperatures) went to lock the car with the fob and all locks clicked then it sounded like one or more locks unlocked again red light on door flashed then went constant red. Drivers rear door was locked but it felt like the drivers door wasn't but as it was 3 am i didn't want to try and open the door incase the alarm went off waking everyone up. Is this a known fault?

what do you use to plumb up the camera washer. do you just use a Y splitter from halfords and some washer hose or do you use the Skoda kit. if you use the Skoda kit do you have a part number for it as i fond one on cars-equipment but they want almost as much to post it as the kit costs ?

the nice man at skoda said the pr code is 1zf and they should be 276mm
