have noticed a gap between the frame and seal on the rear pane of glass. those of you with pano roofs - any issues ?

country-dependent choice, for fuel-tax reasons. for heavy cars, diesel makes more sense in NZ. if I were in the UK, I'd get the Sportline. the interior is pretty special. i've looked into Audis costing thrice as much and thought, "i'd rather have my Skoda". the ride / handling compromise is spot-on. you get stuff as standard for which you'd have to pay extra in Audi RS models (gloss black for example). it has all the cornering prowess and speed you'd realistically need. as above, 1st and 2nd gear unnecessarily short considering the torque available. if you aren't concerned about resale, get the 5-seater

not a fan of how mudflaps look, nor the faff of getting them attached, but the grit thrown up by the tyres gets embedded in the clearcoat

if they keep the climate control dials and tastefully replace the Aliexpress 'carbon-fibre', it'll be the best car on sale. could do with the light show from an Audi A8 at the rear

existing RS is so future-proof that i'll upgrade only when it can display maps with this level of vibrance / detail :

any way to monitor DPF soot loads from the infotainment, without plugging in diagnostic devices ? bit surprised that i've had no DPF warnings so far. my Kodiaq RS has done 23,000km, with 99% of my journeys being under 20km. not sure if it can be attributable to my driving purely in sport DSG
-
if current DPFs have had their initial bugs sorted, couldn't diesel be better for short trips, as it's a lubricant, vs petrol, which is an engine-oil-diluting solvent ?

2.0 TSI PHEV not an option ? i wonder if manufacturers have to pay CO2 penalties for cars sold outside the EU

Kodiaq vRS exhaust note
chrisluciofg replied to chrisluciofg's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
nah, diesel's the way to go for heavies in Nz, as tax is largely based on distance travelled, rather than fuel used (which means lead feet aren't penalised) . can't afford an SQ 8, so 4-cylinder clatter will have to suffice for now -
any way to get the rear view camera to be displayed for the entire duration of a drive ? to be used in lieu of rear view mirror when rear visibility is obscured by cargo
-
don't know much about exhausts, but what's the most straightforward way of adding some dramatics to a diesel's exhaust note ?
-
with the millions of RnD funds at their disposal, why haven't Skoda made the right pedal more responsive, and thus sell more cars after test drives ?
-
how did the repair job go ? looking for feedback, as i'm a little skeptical that a third party could produce a better kit than the manufacturer

tell me more pls, linni

as NZ's roads have a fair bit of coarse chip which generates tyre roar, can anyone recommend a decent all-rounder with sound-deadening tech for my next set. Kodiaq RS, running 20 inch Extremes
-
are they usable when the car doors are closed ? wish they protruded more. the doors get in the way of swinging a bike upwards
-
pics of your roof boxes, please. likes / dislikes, and what would you have chosen instead, with the benefit of hindsight ? Thule or Yakima ? i'm after something that suits the vRS and is user friendly
-
a dense brick like the Kodiaq is the ideal candidate for KERS treatment better economy, twin-power acceleration, less brake dust etc. when will they give it the Superb iV's engine combo ?
-
your recommended brand of bike rack, please ? much of a pain to mount / unload ?
-
any product recommendations or tips, please ? much of a pain to remove or replace the bike ? fwiw, i'm 1.77m and the car doesn't have running boards (would they make life easier?) are the gloss-black roof rails of the Kodiaq RS much easier to scuff up than the chrome rails ?
-
about to buy black emblems for my Kodiaq RS. anything worth tacking on to the order ?
-
simplest way to watch Netflix via iPhone tether from a warm Kodiaq cabin, please ?

thinking of using these screw-anchored tethers for Aliexpress boot nets (I find the factory-supplied ones inadequate). anything to watch out for ? ill-advised ?
