  1. Did you ever work this out? Seem to be lots of kits on AliExpress that include a sensor but struggling to find one the right colour and connection for a Mk III Fabia. Would be nice if I could just fit the auto version 5E0941431D
  2. Hi, If it's possible for an Ateca then I'd imagine it's possible on a Karoq through adaptions / long coding but you will need the pro version. Most of the tweaks I've been doing have been through this method rather than "apps". I found the list of apps a bit limited and you have to use a credit for each app (even in pro) but anything that can be done in an app can be done through coding if you can find the right guide! If you are going to be making a lot of changes its probably worth getting the pro version.
  3. Hello, just had the "exhaust workshop!" message on our 2008 1.4TDI Fabia. Obdeleven was also reporting an "intake flap motor" fault with a code P3103 After removing the engine cover and looking at all of the hoses I also found the small hose connecting to the EGR had a large groove worn through the outer rubber and cutting into the inner tube. There didn't appear to be a hole but I guess it had started to leak. The hose is right at the back of the engine as per this diagram, circled (ignore the arrows) and is marked "7" at the manifold end. By the looks of it the rear engine cover mount has worn away within the cover causing excess vibration and it wearing the pipe. (The cover was lose at the back and would not "clip" on) I was able to cut the bad section off of the pipe and re-attach it to the EGR and cleared the fault. I have also modified the engine cover slightly to allow a little more space: And added a piece of rubber foam tape I had to provide further protection: (I'm not sure how that will hold up with the engine heat though) To reduce the vibration on the lose engine cover I also added a small piece of garden hose over the rear engine cover mounting bolt. Thanks for the comments above for helping me quickly locate the fault.
  4. Hi all, just recently purchased an OBDeleven Pro and made a few tweaks to my Karoq so thought I'd share the working tweaks done via coding (as opposed the the built-in "apps"). There's a lot of information on various forums but it's often not quite right for the Karoq or needs some translation. Disable ‘Ignition On’ Alarm This disables the ignition on alarm which is activated when the drivers door is opened. Control unit 17 (Dashboard) Adaptation Search "Ignition" Select “Ignition Active Message, Actuator” Set to "No Display" Show Refuel Quantity in Dashboard (Volume to be Replenished) Show the number of litres / gallons needed to fill the tank in the MFD / maxidot Control unit 17 (Dashboard) Security access > enter code 25327 Long coding Scroll down to "Volume to be replenished" Set to "Yes" Note: the units are controlled in the car settings (separate from consumption units) Enable Summertime Automatic Option in Time / Date Menu Enables the option to update daylight savings time automatically in the car menu Control unit 5F (Information Control Unit 1) Adaptation Search "Summertime-automatic" Set to "Europe" Disable the ACC Function to Avoid Undertaking Stops ACC slowing the car down if a vehicle in the right hand lane (UK) is moving more slowly. Obviously I'm just testing this one as nobody undertakes! Translated from clubskodakaroq.es and bear in mind the language is written for right-hand drive cars. "The adaptive cruise control (ACC) has a function to prevent overtaking on the right (RUV). If to the left of the vehicle there is another vehicle that runs at a slower speed, it is represented on the multifunction screen. To avoid "overtaking on the right," the system brakes the vehicle itself gently. The RUV function is active from a speed of 80km / h and the driver can interrupt his intervention at any time." Control unit 13 (Adaptive Cruise Control) Security access > enter code 20103 Go to Long coding Search for "Overtaking_right_prevention " By default it is set to enabled . Change to disabled . Restart the infotainment (hold power for 20 sec) - not entirely sure this is necessary More to follow. Working on a guide to enable lane assist and high beam assist for cars with the A5 camera.
  5. Thanks both. I think it should be one as I had in my 2018 model but I didn't get one at all with my MY20 car. Appears in the Parkers photo which shows the newer back seats with the armrest / hatch that wasn't on older models. Anyone know the process for claiming for a missing part? Do I need to speak to the dealer or directly with Skoda? I wouldn't mind paying 2,71 € from skoda-parts.com but I think its about 10 € postage!
  6. Just replaced my 2018 Karoq with a 2020 (renewed the lease) and notice it doesn't have the clip-on boot hook in the boot that goes on the "top tether" hook: https://www.skoda-parts.com/nahradni-dil/57a8677859b9-hook-skoda-32860.html Anyone know if this was removed in MY19/20 or should I have one? Can be seen in this photo form another user's post: Only a minor niggle I know! Thanks
  7. 2018 Karoq in the garage today and updated with “TPI 2050744/11”. Definitely feels different, smoother I think, but can’t quite explain it yet. Had a weird issue when put in reverse to go onto driveway where I brought the clutch up and it just didn’t move until I dipped the clutch again. Weird. Not convinced yet. Will see how it goes!
  8. Yes no space between my 125 spare and the boot floor so assume the 215 kit must have bits for the boot floor to sit on. Can just about make that out from the crappy picture on the configurator!
  9. Bit confused about the spare wheel options. The configurator currently lists both as space saving: Steel space-saving spare wheel - 125/70 R18 or Temporary steel space saver spare wheel - 215/60 R16 My Karoq has a T125/70 R18 marked as temporary. So they are both "temporary" and save space apparently the 215 would be 9cm wider 🤔
  10. Bit confused as to whether my Karla, built Feb 2018 has an update available but I’ve just put a request to book it in a couple of weeks time to update the software. Will see what happens!
  11. Thanks Peachysheff and Steve. That's really helpful. Must admit I do miss the uphill torque I used to get out of my old 140 TDI Leon. Sounds like you'd probably get about 500 miles per tank on the 1.6 TDI.
  12. My lease on my Karoq 1.5 TSI is up next March so I'm looking at options. I quite fancy a DSG model this time but the lease prices go up quite a bit. There are however some good deals going on the 1.6 TDI models. Anyone have any experience of how they compare? Looking at the figures I'm worried it might be a bit slow of the mark but I probably rarely put my foot to the floor to get to 60 the 8.9 seconds quoted here in the TSI if I'm honest. I get roughly 400 miles per tank doing about 40 miles a day mixed between motorway and town driving. What sort of mileage are people getting from a tank from the 1.6 TDI Thanks
  13. I believe the setting within ACC only adjusts the harshness of the acceleration
  14. Found this thread too. Sounds like it can even happen at Skoda dealers!
  15. Indeed it was. Won’t bother again. Not particularly keen on whatever they cleaned the inside of the car with as left the pedals slippery. Will stick to washing it myself in future I think!
  16. Yep it’s not coming off so reckon they must have used an acid based alloy cleaner that’s reacted with the plastic. Fleabay have some non-genuine ones for a couple of quid so might give them a go.
  17. Sounds painful I know "Treated" myself to having a car wash today but slightly regretting it now. Whatever they used to clean the alloys has left white marks on the plastic wheel nut covers. Anyone experienced this before or any idea how to clean them up?
  18. The way the wipers leave a dirty area on the right hand side of the windscreen when you use the screen washers... and then the way the dirty water runs up the A pillar. Probably more noticeable on a RHD vehicle and I miss the wipers on the Leon which went all the way to the A pillars.
  19. Tempted to get obdeleven myself. Did you go for the pro pack and where did you find the 10% code? Thanks
  20. Only have an SE Tech but... 1. I'm guessing it's by design and if a car in the lane to the right slows down, ACC seems to detect this and apply brakes. Have had this on the motorway (of course I shouldn't undertake) or on an A road where a car is sat in a right-hand turn filter lane and the ACC slammed on the brakes. 4. On mine, pressing the menu button on the right of the steering wheel (the one with the two rectangles flips it back to whatever it was on before). Or pressing the assistance system button on the steering wheel twice always sends it to the speed / vehicle data mode. Could be different on an edition with Columbus though.
  21. Just a thought that occurred as I've got into my boiling hot car a couple of times this week... Does anyone know if there any way to display the interior / cabin temperature on one of the screens? Coding tweak or hidden menu maybe? Currently I get the outside temperature displayed on both the top of the infotainment screen and on the multifuction display. Seems a bit of a waste of space repeating the same data. I'm sure the summer will be over soon so I won't be thinking about it any more!
  22. Good to know. I wonder if there is anything to put the speed at the top of the multifunction display? Would be more useful than the compass direction that's currently there!
  23. Would there be any issues when returning a lease car after modifying coding?
  24. Karoq has different shaped rear lights than the Kodiaq, more of a ‘c’ shape. I keep seeing Kodiaqs too!
