Mirror fallen away from windscreen.
The car has been at Skoda today and as expected they have stated the warranty will not cover it. Oddly they won't even price up a new screen. They have just said contact a windscreen company who should be able to reattach it. National windscreens have said they wouldn't reattach it, just supply and fit a new screen. I argued that it shouldn't have failed, but Skoda have taken the stance that they don't know the history of the car before they sold it to us, which I find odd given it was an approved used car from a Skoda main dealership. I have raised a case with Skoda UK. Waiting to hear from them. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. Don't expect this from a 6 year old car, the bonding should last the lifetime of the screen.

Mirror fallen away from windscreen.
This is what is and isn't included so unless they are classing it as interior trim I don't think it's mentioned specifically. I have looked at these adhesives. Just wondering if it would work. I guess for a few quid it's worth a shot but I don't really want to damage it anymore and then have Skoda tell me it isn't covered. Maybe I'll wait until they have looked at it as you never know, they may cover it.

Mirror fallen away from windscreen.
I've spoken with national windscreens today and they have said as the bracket has fallen away it would require a replacement screen as the bracket is bonded to the glass at manufacturer. Booked in with JCB Skoda Maidstone for the 9th of June which is the earliest date they had. We have only had the car 11 months and when we bought it we were given a 3 year warranty which we increased to 4, but straight away they service guy stated it probably won't be covered by warranty as they don't normally fail so could be some external influence.

Hi all. Our mirror has fallen off the screen today. Can I just buy something to stick it back on or is it a bit more involved. The car is a 20 plate sport line

Noise when pressing clutch pedal.
Hi all. Every now and again when I use my car the clutch pedal makes a strange clunky noise for the first 2 or 3 presses then it gradually disappears and won't do it for a while. Any ideas what it could be. I know you can't really hear it brilliantly on this video but it makes a metallic spring noise to go with the clunk. It's done it for years. I did have the clutch and flywheel changed last year but it did it before the change and continues to do it. PXL_20260414_083610056~2.mp4

Dsg service costs.
I don't believe they will update service history. I have not got a quote from a main dealer yet. I don't think I'm interested if they don't change the filter.

Dsg service costs.
Hi. I requested a quote for a dsg service on our karoq. 7 speed wet clutch dq381 from a local independent vag specialist. Come back with £419. Does that sound about right. The cost of the fluid is the biggest outlay. Labour looks to be 1 hour charged.

Battery and alternator advice needed please.
I've had different readings the few times I've checked it. Last week when I checked it it said 12.1v whilst sitting on the drive running. So I thought maybe the alternator was faulty. Yesterday doing the same check 14.5v which would suggest the alternator was working. Which is why I said in a post above I'm not sure that it's just the battery. Especially if you factor in the car yesterday allowed the engine to stop but then it didn't have the guts to restart. That to me points to something else.

Battery and alternator advice needed please.
But what if the issue isn't the battery alone? It's ok saying go and buy a new battery, but if the alternator is also faulty or there is an issue somewhere else, a new battery isn't going to fix my problem. I'd happily go and find someone if Skoda paid for the cost. I don't see why I should have to pay to fix a fault in a car that we've owned less then 6 months. But because they won't do the right thing I have no choice but to wait. My frustration is, we bought this to Skoda's attention in July and we were told nothing wrong, your wife must have left something open or on. Which clearly isn't the case. But quite clearly there is something wrong. In my view Skoda should have said bring it in and we will find time to look at it. I'm not a mechanic so I can't say either a new battery will sort the issue,
