Front Hub nut size? 35mm???
They're just small chamfers to aid in the socket over the nut. As far as I can see looks same as mine

Front Hub nut size? 35mm???
Just been on the phone to Skoda and their technician uses a 36mm 12 point special socket. The top of the pitches are lower on the nut so dealers have a socket to stop the socket jumping

Front Hub nut size? 35mm???
You can see the contact points where the nut is just running over the points, I ground the socket down on it's length at work because of the huge inside chamfer on these sockets.

Front Hub nut size? 35mm???
The OD has enough clearance as far as I can see it goes on the nut fine, when I turn the socket you can fell the socket is way to big and jumps all the points on the nut. The OD on the socket is just a touch under 48mm dia

Front Hub nut size? 35mm???
Hi all, Went to take the hub nut off with a 12 point socket 36mm and it doesn't even look to turn the nut plus a 34mm if far to small for the nut. Is it a 35mm? See pics Thanks

Spring not seating correctly
Bearing is fine, still smooth twist movement so I saw no need to replace that. The top mount is still in good condition. As I said in my other comment the bottom coil is not seating as it should once the to bearing is in place and spring released but sits in there fine when the spring is compressed

Spring not seating correctly
I did think this, but I had compressors on and just put back on same way. There is a possibility that I took the compressor off before reinstall. The spring on the last coil only contacts the seat at one point, almost as if it has a slight kink in it and the end of the spring is not sitting flat and not contacting the shock.

Spring not seating correctly
Hi all, Just replaced front drivers shock absorber and noticed that when I reinstalled the spring it was not seating correctly on the shock at the bottom. When up against the stop it's as if the spring is not sitting central to the shock and not fully contacting the bottom seat. When assembled you can still turn the spring slightly. This also happens when turning the wheel when on the car. Is this the spring or have I missed something on reassembly? Or something else. Side note: seats on old shock fine Thanks in advance

Blower Fan Issue
Without getting to technical the cheapest option is a new resistor. That's been the cause on every occasion since I've owned the car for the last 5 years

Blower Fan Issue
Sorry the resistor I got from eBay Pollen filter from euro car parts

Blower Fan Issue
I changed pollen filter about 2 weeks ago, I bought it on eBay and it's lasted 4 years which was 3½ years more than a genuine one.

Blower Fan Issue
The motor is fine, as 3 and 4 work flawlessly

Blower Fan Issue
Hi all, I've had the issue twice before, both times it was a resistor fail because of the 4th speed only working. This time it's different 3 and 4 speeds work so does this mean it's a switch fail and not a resistor? Thanks in advance
