Thanks @lngers2k very helpful topics. 1st option try battery disconnect I think as its a simple option. The car has some simple warranty from car shop l, I don't know if they cover this though, but Im loathe to take it apart before speaking to them if battery method doesn't work. I at least have something to go on though.

I have just brought the Octavia Elegance, I have two issues with the CD player, 1 a disk is stuck in the player, 2 I cant find the unit that houses the other CD player for the remaining 5 any advice please.
