  1. I can add. I am detecting 3v on the yellow-brown when the doors are open or closed and whether the key is off (out) or in (on)
  2. My 2009 mkii estate has a single door warning light in the dash. The door warning light is permanently on, and the bell rings when they car moves from standing position. I tested the brown / brown-yellow connections from the driver's window motor cable (within it plugged in) but there is no short. windows work fine. only noticable thing is, the boot get confused occasionally and you have to unlock/lock with the fob before the boot will close. otherwise everything else seems normal. i understood from another post, with all doors shut, the brown / brown-yellow should be open. would appreciate a wiring diagram and confirmation, on how the brown / brown-yellow control is supposed to work. Cheers
  3. how do you release the wiring harness for removal or at least give it enough slack to enable remove of severed cables?
  4. when you installed the radio, you disconnected the front "airbag off" light correct? you turned the ignition on or to accessory while the panel was not connected right? then you have to reset the error code. next time, don't unplug the airbag stuff with the key in the ignition.
  5. I think this could be to do with the tailgate wiring. I had an aftermarket rear camera in and box the coax and power cables were cut. The rear wiper seems to work intermittently as well. How do you release the wiring so it can be examined repaired?
  6. My boot unlock works via the remove, but not via the rear switch. have tried a different switch, but didn't help. Is it s/w setable? was working, and then suddenly stopped.
  7. I have a Skoda Fabia MkII 2009 with a Skoda Dance (technisat Single DIN with dual face) it works in my car without having been connected for 2+yrs. I wanted to stick it in a MkII 2007 with a broken Dance (dual DIN) but it is in safe mode. I tried the code under the VIN in the 2009 service manual, didn't work I also have 2 numbers on the spare keys. one on a sticker and one written but neither of them work. When I put back the original dance in the 2007, it started in safe mode, and successfully unlocked using the code under the VIN in the service manual for that car. When i put back the original dance in the 2009, it automatically unlocks with going into safe more. so, two questions; a) is it possible to retrieve the code when it is already unlocked. b) if one of the 3 numbers I have is correct for the 2009, why wouldn't it work in the 2007. both are 5J
  8. did you get to the bottom. you diagnosis would seem to fit me. I had good connections and the green/white is signalling reliably, as does the black have a good +12v, so seems the V12 is the problem for me. Have taken to the arm out, and will pull it apart later tonight. Do you know the torque required for putting the arm back in place?
  9. I have a left hand drive, with an intermittant rear wiper. There appears to be power on the black/brown. Although i need to double check the green wires. I am not clear, where to find this 10pin wiring loom referred to here. Can someone give me a dummies guide to where to find it please. What do i have to remove to access it?
  10. i've got exactly the same problem as you described on a 2009 Mk2. power seems to be at the 4 pin connector alright. i've got to double check the green wires based on some threads i read, but brown and black are definitely good. funny it will work on a cold morning, but not in the afternoon. Presumably after the mrs has been driving. Did you get to the bottom of your problem?
