  1. Regurgitating an old post. The radar bracket on my MK3 Superb has corroded and needs to be replaced as the radar was moving all over the place. Struggling to find the right part and was hoping someone could assist. There is a code on it PA66-GF30 but I can't find one anywhere. Also looking for notes on how it should be installed. Any help appreciated!
  2. The being bored bit was driven in part by trying improve my 26mpg average. It lasted about 5 minutes before getting bored of being bored, at which point I reverted to normal 'spirited' driving mode..
  3. Not so much what I did today, but what more about what I discovered last night on a late motorway drive home.....I thought the ACC just did increments of +/- 5mph by moving the stalk up down, it turns out by pulling it towards you further it will increment by +1mph on each pull. Handy for pushing to the max limit on those average speed sections! (I was very bored...)
  4. @kriva Is this the part no: https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/instrument-clusters-15/oem-3v0920790a-virtual-cockpit-instrument-clusters/#prettyPhoto If so cheaper than I expected, perhaps a few of us could get together and fly Matze over for the day for some installs !
  5. Hi @penguin17, resurrecting this whilst ECP have a sale on! Are you able to see if ECP still sell this / let me know the the ECP product code that you ordered? I checked the Mann site and the 'C 30 005' matches for the 272ps, however: - no results on ECP using my reg no - 2 results using make/model/engine/fule filters: Product Code: 502440939 Product Code: 502441989 Tried live chat but they said no-go and get in contact with parts request department. I am suspecting one of the items listed above is in fact what I'm looking for.. Cheers
  6. Cheers for that, I did see the shop but on first glance didn’t see much difference to their shop. Will have a look into the discounts. Did you buy wheels and tyres at the same time and did that come fitted?
  7. cheers for that, official skoda would be nice but at that price unless it’s coming with rubber it ain’t happening!
  8. Thanks for the link, not a huge amount there at the moment. I’d like something in black. Tempted by the R8 wheels but I’m not sure the rears would fit and the rubber is nearly 8 years old 😮
  9. Cheers @boydeee What are those alloys? I was looking at some Dezents on MyTyres but something cheaper is preferable at the moment!
  10. Panic over! Tyre repair for £20 which is a bonus.. I'm still inclined to look for another set of alloys and all-seasons/winters, less so from a winter conditions point of view, but more from the sheer state of the roads themselves and preserving the Vegas longer-term. I'd then look to upgrade the P7s later once fully worn, I get the idea of putting on all-seasons all year round, but the 19's are expensive! I'd prefer to spend that on good quality summer tyre such as the PS4 as recommended. Anyone else running 17's on their 280/272 and any issues / changes to drivability?
  11. Thanks. I can see a nail in the central part of the tyre now, so hopefully can be repaired, I just need to find someone who is not "too busy". If I can get fixed I am now thinking about putting the funds towards a set of 17" alloys, possibly with all seasons to run through winter. and eventually get some decent rubber on the Vega's next year perhaps.
  12. Hi All So I've got a slow(ish) flat on the rear left on my 272 Sportline Estate and looking for tyre advice. Just had its first service (9500k) and rears (P7's) were: O/S: 6.20 6.60 6.20 N/S: 6.30 6.80 6.20 Fronts were: O/S: 5.70 5.80 5.90 N/S: 5.60 5.80 5.20 Its dropping from 38psi to 25psi in about 36 hours. I can't see anything immediately obvious that has caused it. I'm assuming at minimum I should replace both rears at the same time, and given the minal wear with the front at the moment it should be OK? I've seen others do repairs but not something I am familiar with / not even sure where I would take it. If replacing both any thoughts on the choice of tyre? Thanks in advance 🙂
  13. In answer to my own question, should really search before posting! thanks @penguin17
  14. Thankfully no experiences as severe as he OP but definitely noted the stock rear's are a bit chocolaty, generate surface rust quickly and the 'tug' as @freelunch describes when having been sat idle. Would agree that leaving AutoHold off is good practice. My drive is on a slight slope and have found the tug / DSG stress is reduced by following a consistent parking procedure: Reverse In, Foot-brake on, Neutral, Electronic Handbrake, Release Foot-brake (allowing car to settle), Park. Had already mentally prepared to replace the stocks via an Indy at some point. Is there somewhere on this site, or otherwise, that specifies the disc sizes (for the rears) on a 280/27 ? EuroCarparts/Carparts4Less (which appear to be the same) come up with 2 sizes, one I assume to be for a 220 (300mm Solid) the other for the 280 (310mm vented) ? TIA
