Chrome trim peeling on drivers side rear fixed window
RichardPB replied to love2drive's topic in Skoda Karoq
Hi, I had exactly the same problem with the trim coming away in the same place. It's just held in place with 3M 8mm double sided tape. I simply removed the part of the tape that wasn't sticking to the trim and replaced it with some 3M tape I had. It has stuck fine and feels quite firm. Only took about 5 minutes to do but be careful as the edges of the trim are quite sharp as I found out. -
The left strut was replaced on mine today. It looks like an updated part to the one it replaced. Seems to also be quieter. Just glad its fixed.

The strut on mine gets replaced on Friday. Skoda have had difficulty getting hold of one. Hopefully this fixes the problem.

I have exactly the same problem with mine. Mines been into Skoda to be diagnosed and one of the hall sensors in one of the struts which opens the tailgate has failed. The whole strut has to be replaced. The problem is getting hold of the part as there are none in the UK. That was two weeks ago and still waiting for the dealer to get back to me.

I had exactly the same issue when starting my car on cold mornings. It turned out that the battery had gone faulty and wasn't providing enough voltage. The battery was replaced under warranty and I haven't had the issue since.

It was a dealer update. Took about 30 minutes to do.

I had the same issue including losing the presets every month or so. If it's the Columbus Head Unit, there is a software update. I've not had any issues since.

Took my car in to have the battery tested last week. Battery test showed the battery as defective after first test. Battery replaced with a new Varta one. Regarding the 'Manoeuvre Braking currently unavailable' warning, the technician said that the warning was appearing because of a combination of Low battery voltage and environment conditions. Not certain what environment conditions but my car starts much better in the mornings and I haven't had the warning message since. While I was at the garage, my car has been flagged for a recall to have the Oxygen Sensor software re-calibrated. Has anyone else had this?

Popped into local dealer on the way home to ask about the two issues I was having. As soon as I mentioned the Manoeuvre Braking message, he said that it was likely to be a problem with the battery. He asked me what battery was in it, and I said MOLL. He knew straight away it was going to be the battery. It's booked in next week and he said that they will likely change it for a Varta one.

Hi, Every morning when I start my car, I see a warning message saying 'Manoeuvre Braking currently unavailable'. This stays on for a couple of seconds and then goes off. It doesn't reappear for the rest of the day. Some mornings I have also noticed that when starting, the engine is slow to turn over. I therefore suspect that I have a faulty battery which is losing charge overnight. I understand that for Manoeuvre Braking to work it needs over a certain voltage from the battery. The battery on my car is a Moll which I know have been problematic. Has anyone else had similar issues which has resulted in their battery being replaced? Thanks.

A way to tell if the battery is going flat is that the red LED on the key fob will stop working when pressing the buttons or using KESSY but the car will still open and start the car until the battery dies.

The driving mode is only remembered if you have the Personalise Option on your car. This is linked to your key so your car remembers things like driving mode, seat position, etc. This is different from Individual mode where you can set things like the steering wheel weighting, ACC, Air Con, etc which are remembered. The manual (page 242) does say that the Driving Mode is remembered in Individual Mode but it forgets to mention only if you have the Personalise Option.

The battery in my fob failed a couple of weeks ago without warning. Locked the car fine and when going to open it half an hour later, it wouldn't unlock. Red light on fob wasn't lighting. Luckily I had a spare battery which got the fob working again.

Central Locking / Kessy Question - Is this normal?

Thanks for checking. I think you're right regarding a carjacking measure. -
Central Locking / Kessy Question - Is this normal?

When the doors are locked automatically, I then stop, get out I can open all doors. The problem only happens if I lock the doors manually using the lock button which is very strange. If someone could follow the steps in the first post and report what happens, that would be great.
