I've had my new car for over a week now. When braking I am seeing a warning light flash up on the virtual display its red with a brake icon and crash explosion symbol anyone else seen this? It only starting happening today once coming to a stop at a roundabout slowing down from a 30mph speed limit with 1 car in front and the other time slowing down going round a bend with no cars in front.

all fixed now. replaced the switch and had AA out to clear the fault

How old is your car ?

I bought the carista yesterday and hoping that'll clear the fault once I've replaced the switch.

Hi all, I picked up my new Skoda a few days ago. Today I installed a dashcam which I installed in my previous Skoda Octavia without any problems. I've taken off the panel on the passenger side to access the ground bolt as I've pulled the panel off the passenger airbag switch ( now factory fitted on the panel instead of inside the glove box) has disconnected from the plug. The male connector plug is ok and the same with the pins. I was able to push back into place the female connector however I now have the airbag warning light on . The mechanism to turn the airbag on and off seems ok and not loose. I took the car to the main dealer but they're saying it's going to cost £100 to have the error diagnosed and if it needs a new connector it's going to cost another £100. They can't fit me in until a week's time. I told them I'll get back to them! I've phoned around a few dealerships and the cheapest I can get a connector for is £57. I'm thinking of buying an OBD diagnostic reader but would that tell me if it's the connector that's the issue?
