  1. My outside air temperature is giving a wrong reading, showing 10 degrees today when clearly it was 18+ t-shirt weather, where is the sensor located and is it easy to change if faulty, and price if anybody knows. If of course this is the problem.
  2. sorted it, had to stick wire inside bonnet frame to find end of pipe which had blown off
  3. Sorry it is the windscreen washer
  4. My washers froze the other day and now the drivers side is not working, it is pumping the water inside the bonnet somewhere and running out above the headlight at front. Maybe a pipe is split or has come off, any ideas on how to get at it all?. Sorry, forgot to say its the windscreen washer and all the pipes seem to be hidden inside the bonnet near the jets.
  5. Service now warning indicator came on the other day and I can't reset it using the instructions in handbook, tried loads of times, it is on QG1 servicing although dealer stamps in book say variable, the only other thing is the check brake pads warning comes on before the service indicator. I had it serviced 2 weeks ago at local independent and it is going back in for front discs and pads next month. Any ideas on how to get rid of service warning.
  6. Are the two lambda probes on the 1.8t both the same or are they different part numbers
  7. Engine management light came on two days ago so took it to independent garage to read the fault code. It is P1136 additive mixture to low, they rang around to find out why this was happening on a 1.8t petrol when usually it would be a diesel that would generate this code including Chapmans skoda dealer in pickering but didn't get very far with them. He has reset the light and says if it comes on again to take it to skoda dealer as they can track it further with their equipment. Any thoughts or is it just a hiccup.
  8. I have a leak through the pollen filter housing, can anyone please give instructions on how to remove and reseal. What can I reseal it with?. I have cleaned the plenum chamber bung under the battery but water still built up so I have decided to remove it. I can't get to the other one under servo but probably could from underneath. Is it alright to remove them and chuck em away. Hope I have removed the correct bung its about a 2" long rectangle. Please help. Also the carpet in the nearside footwell is slightly damp, how do I take this up to dry electronics and spray with WD40.
  9. I cleaned the plenum chamber drain below the battery but can't see the other under servo, can it be got at without removing servo? also are these rubber drains ment to just drip after been cleaned, it would seam better to remove them altogether. I'll have a look at pollen filter housing tomorrow, can I seal it easily myself and is it a big job for an imbosile
  10. I have a water leak behind the glove box of my superb. Seams to have happened since all this heavy rain. The car has climate control and is a 1.8t comfort. Any suggestions?.
  11. Put it on their diagnostics and turns out that it is running lean, found small hole in pipe just under coolant reservoir and so it is sucking air in. It was doing it before I had all the work done as we could hear hissing when we turned the engine off and thought it was probably something to do with the climate control. Glad it was just a pipe!.
  12. Got car back today, new cambelt, tensioners, water pump(metal) and brake pads. Guess what, the plastic impellar had broken and there was half of it missing. Been lucky I think to catch it but only thanks to you guys on the forum. Only trouble is the Engine Electronics warning light has now come on, back to local independant garage tomorrow to see whats wrong, it came on after been stood a while running, they may have dislodged something. Any suggestions?.
  13. Had my Superb 1.8t a Fortnight now, 02 reg with 37000 on the clock. I bought it 2nd hand from an independant dealer 75 miles away for
  14. Not sure, only bought the car on Saturday and its dark now so not going outside to see
