Wanted to say thanks for all the useful info on this site that has helped over the last year or so. Both the wife and I are going to be Skoda less over the next week or so, i have a change in jobs so the VRS TDI is going and I'm getting a Mitsi L200. Also we have just part exchanged the wifes 51 plate 1.8T VRS for an Audi.. If we ever find ourselves with a Skoda again we will certainly be back. Thanks

Finally have this sorted, fitted new strut top mounts (Powerflex) which also has cured the annoying knock over speedbumps. All good again, thanks for the input all.

Have you sorted this? Strange thing has happened.. wife came home in hers tonight complaining the speakers on the right side don't work...(the very rear does as it's via a separate amp) That's my job for the weekend so if I find the problem I'll let you know.

Hi, Have you checked for broken wires? Are they fed through an amp or straight from the stereo?

To be fair this stuff went on really easily and dried quickly. Would recommend as an alternative and always worth doing before winter

With winter approaching and the dreaded salt grit looming, I decided yesterday to get the Octy on the ramps and treat the surface rust. Starting with the rear (front to be done next week after had bushes changed) I wire brushed the flakes away then I gave it a coat of the below rust inhibitor, left to dry overnight then a coat of the top coat. Never used this stuff before, always tended to use waxoil, but they state this will be good for 10 years.. apparently they use it for off shore applications so fingers crossed it will last.. Has anyone else used this stuff?

I noticed it more in my pocket, 55mpg as opposed to 40... Mine was a white Sportage too.. All the best!

Now sold...

So had it in today for exhaust at Demons and asked the guys to check all bushes.. seems the anti-roll bar bushes are shot.. Getting them done shortly, hopefully that will solve the problem!
